Abstract

Komunikasi persuasif merupakan upaya untuk mempengaruhi tindakan orang lain. Komunikasi persuasif dapat kita temui dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, bisa digunakan untuk tujuan positif atau juga untuk tujuan negatif, mempengaruhi orang melakukan sesuai keinginan kita. Untuk mencapai tujuan dari komunikasi persuasif maka diperlukan teknik persuasif. Salah satunya adalah melalui scene dalam sebuah film dokumenter drama yang tayang di Netflix. Film “The Tinder Swindler” merupakan salah satu film yang menceritakan tentang cara mempersuasi dan teknik yang digunakan untuk membujuk orang melakukan sesuatu sesuai dengan keinginan kita. Penelitian ini meneliti scene-scene yang menggambarkan teknik komunikasi persuasif yang dilakukan oleh pelaku dalam film. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian semiotika Ferdinand Saussure. Subjek penelitian berfokus pada objek penelitian pada film ini yaitu teknik komunikasi persuasif yang ditampilkan pada film. Hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan lima teknik komunikasi persuasif yaitu Icing Device (memberikan kesan yang mendalam dan tidak mudah dilupakan), Reassurance (menghubungi kembali dan membangun hubungan dengan sasaran persuasi), Say It With Flowers (menarik hati sasaran persuasi dengan menggunakan kata-kata manis), Asosiatif (menggunakan objek dan peristiwa yang menarik perhatian untuk menimbulkan kesan), dan Fear Arrousal (menyajikan pesan dengan perasaan takut jika tidak menuruti informasi yang diberikan) / Persuasive communication is an attempt to influence the actions of others. Persuasive communication can be encountered in everyday life, can be used for positive purposes or also for negative purposes, influencing people to do what we want. To achieve the goal of persuasive communication, persuasive techniques are needed. One of them is through a scene in a drama documentary that airs on Netflix. The film "The Tinder Swindler" is one of the films that tells about how to persuade and the techniques used to persuade people to do something according to our wishes. This study examines the scenes that describe the persuasive communication techniques used by actors in the film. This study uses a qualitative approach with Ferdinand Saussure's semiotic research method. The research subject focuses on the object of research in this film, namely persuasive communication techniques shown in the film. The results of this study found five persuasive communication techniques, namely Icing Device (giving a deep impression and not easily forgotten), Reassurance (calling back and building relationships with persuasion targets), Say It With Flowers (attracting persuasion targets by using sweet words), Associative (using objects and events that attract attention to create an impression), and Fear Arrousal (presenting messages with feelings of fear if they do not obey the information provided).
