Abstract
Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan yang dihuni oleh ratusan suku bangsa. Hal ini membuat Indonesia kaya akan keragaman budaya. Sayangnya, rasa bangga dan kepedulian melestarikan budaya kurang tertanam di generasi muda Indonesia saat ini. Antusiasme dan minat mereka untuk mempelajari keragaman budaya sangatlah minim. Mereka lebih tertarik mempelajari kebudayaan asing. Akibat dari pesatnya perkembangan media dan teknologi, Informasi menjadi hal yang sangat mudah diakses. Sangat disayangkan, perkembangan teknologi tersebut belum dapat diiringi dengan perkembangan media, khususnya animasi, di Indonesia. Animasi di Indonesia yang menarik sekaligus mengandung muatan lokal sangatlah minim jumlahnya. Oleh karena itu, perancangan ini bertujuan dalam membagikan kekayaan budaya Indonesia melalui film animasi yang memiliki karakter berlatar belakang dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Perancangan ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dan analisis data yang diperoleh dari berbagai sumber, yang di antaranya merupakan jurnal, buku, dan video. Data-data tersebut digunakan untuk mendukung teori dan menjadi referensi serta panduan dalam perancangan ini. Bentuk akhir dari perancangan ini adalah buku konsep visual yang berfokus pada desain karakter dan teaser dari animasi Antapura. Sebagai landasan dasar perancangan ini, penulis menggunakan dua kata kunci (1) Culture yang mengacu kepada budaya Indonesia, dan (2) Diversity yang mengacu kepada keragaman yang dihasilkan dari banyaknya budaya di Indonesia. / Indonesia is an archipelagic country inhabited by hundreds of ethnic groups. This makes Indonesia rich in cultural diversity. Unfortunately, the sense of pride and concern for preserving culture is not embedded in the young generation of Indonesia today. Their enthusiasm and interest in learning about cultural diversity is minimal. They are more interested in studying foreign cultures. As a result of the rapid development of media and technology, information has become very accessible. Unfortunately, the development of the technology has not been accompanied by the development of media, especially animation, in Indonesia. There are very few animations in Indonesia that are both interesting and contain local content. Therefore, this design aims to share the richness of Indonesian culture through animated films that have characters from various regions in Indonesia. This design uses the method of literature study and data analysis obtained from various sources, which include journals, books, and videos. These data are used to support the theory and become a reference and guide in this design. The final form of this design is a visual concept book that focuses on character design and teasers from Antapura animation. As the basis for this design, the author uses two keywords (1) Culture which refers to Indonesian culture, and (2) Diversity which refers to the diversity resulting from the many cultures in Indonesia.
