Abstract

Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat Prof. dr. R.D. Kandou Manado adalah rumah sakit kelas A yang dimiliki Kementerian Kesehatan Indonesia dan berlokasi di Sulawesi Utara. Melalui observasi visual dan analisis data ditemukan rumah sakit ini memiliki logo dan identitas visual yang kurang mencerminkan citra, nilai, visi dan misinya. Elaborasi identifikasi masalah identitas visual rumah sakit akan dibahas lebih lanjut dalam isi makalah ini. Tujuan dari proyek perancangan ulang ini adalah untuk memberikan solusi dari permasalahan identitas visual serta menciptakan identitas visual yang lebih koheren. Proyek perancangan ini dilakukan menggunakan metodologi yang diadaptasikan dari buku Designing Identity dari Alina Wheeler. Proses perancangan dilakukan dengan cara pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur, online research, dan wawancara narasumber dari rumah sakit. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diolah dan dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi masalah visual agar dapat digunakan sebagai dasar dalam proses proyek perancangan ulang ini. / Central General Hospital Prof. dr. R.D. Kandou Manado is a class A hospital owned by the Indonesian Ministry of Health and is located in North Sulawesi. Through visual observation and data analysis, it was found that this hospital has a logo and visual identity that does not reflect its image, values, vision and mission. Elaboration of problem identification from this hospital’s visual identity will be discussed further in the contents of this paper. The purpose of this redesign project is to provide a solution to the current visual identity problem and create a more coherent visual identity. This design project is put through using a methodology adapted from the book Designing Identity by Alina Wheeler. The design process is carried out by collecting data through literature studies, online research, and an interviewee from the hospital. The data obtained is then processed and analyzed to identify visual problems so that it can be used as a basis in the process of this redesign project.
