Abstract

Self-Acceptance adalah hal penting yang harus dimiliki setiap orang dalam mengalami perkembangan agar orang tersebut tidak mudah merasa putus asa hingga depresi. Buku ilustrasi adalah buku berisikan ilustrasi yang berperan sebagai pendukung teks sehingga isi bacaan dapat lebih mudah dimengerti. Dengan adanya ilustrasi, buku juga dapat terlihat lebih menarik untuk dibaca. Buku yang akan dirancang menjadi buku ilustrasi adalah buku I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokpokki yang merupakan buku non fiksi best seller di Indonesia maupun Korea yang mengangkat tentang Self-Acceptance. Buku ini berisikan tentang pengobatan penulis yang mengidap depresi hingga akhirnya bisa sembuh dan menerima dirinya sendiri. Perancangan ini merupakan buku ilustrasi yang menggunakan kata kunci kontemporer dan dinamis untuk dapat memvisualisasikan teks sesuai dengan selera audiens. Ilustrasi digambarkan dengan tangan menggunakan teknik digital agar terkesan dinamis dan menyenangkan. Perancangan ini bertujuan menarik perhatian audiens agar membaca buku I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokpokki untuk dapat memahami pentingnya Self- Acceptance. / Self-Acceptance is an important thing that must be owned by everyone in experiencing development so that the person does not easily feel hopeless to depression. An illustration book is a book containing illustrations that act as a support for the text so that the contents of the reading can be more easily understood. With illustrations, books will be more interesting to read. The book that will be designed as an illustration book is I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokpokki 2, which is a best-selling non-fiction book in Indonesia and Korea that focuses on Self-Acceptance. This book is about the author's treatment of depression so that she can finally recover and accept herself. This design is an illustration book that uses contemporary and dynamic keywords to be able to visualize the text according to the tastes of the audience. The illustrations are drawn by hand using digital techniques to make them seem dynamic and fun. This design aims to attract the attention of the audience to read the book I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokpokki 2 in order to understand the importance of Self-Acceptance.
