Abstract

Pemanasan global adalah fenomena yang mengacu pada peningkatan suhu rata-rata global dalam jangka panjang akibat terperangkapnya kadar karbon di atmosfer bumi yang disebabkan oleh berbagai aktivitas manusia, jika dibiarkan hal tersebut dapat mendatangkan berbagai bencana karena menganggu keseimbangan ekosistem di bumi. Indonesia sendiri adalah negara penyumbang polusi plastik terbesar di lautan dunia, dimana plastik merupakan produk petroleum yang sejak proses pembuatan hingga pemusnahannya menghasilkan karbondioksida yang menyebabkan peningkatan emisi karbon dalam bumi. Organisasi Greenpeace Indonesia menghadirkan sebuah kampanye berjudul #PantangPlastik untuk menyadarkan dan mengajak semua pihak yang terlibat dalam permasalahan polusi plastik tersebut agar bersama melakukan aksi perubahan. Kampanye #PantangPlastik ingin mengajak aksi perubahan dari sisi hulu dan hilir, yakni sisi produsen dan masyarakat, penulis memilih untuk melakukan visualisasi pesan berisi penggambaran dampak polusi plastik dan solusi yang dapat dilakukan kepada masyarakat. Penulis memvisualisasikan pesan kampanye tersebut melalui media instalasi yang terbagi ke dalam beberapa tahap menggunakan alur storytelling Piramida Freytag oleh Gustav Freytag serta teori User Experience oleh Don Norman. Dengan membuat instalasi interaktif, pesan dan dampak bagi audiens akan lebih tersampaikan karena melibatkan setiap audiensnya, setelah audiens meninggalkan area instalasi audiens dapat lebih memahami urgensi dari isu polusi plastik dan terpanggil untuk turut menjadi bagian dari solusi./Global warming is a phenomenon that refers to an increase in the global average temperature in the long term due to the trapping of carbon levels in the earth's atmosphere caused by various human activities, if continued it can bring various disasters because it disrupts the balance of ecosystems on earth. Indonesia itself is the largest contributor to plastic pollution in the world's oceans, where plastic is a petroleum product which from the manufacturing process to its destruction, produces carbon dioxide which causes an increase in carbon emissions in earth. Greenpeace Indonesia is an organization that presents a campaign called #NoPlastic to raise awareness and invite all parties involved in the plastic pollution problem to jointly take action for change. The #NoPlastic campaign wants to invite action for change from the upstream and downstream sides, namely the producers and the community. The author chose to visualize the message containing the impact of plastic pollution and the solutions that can be done to the community through an installation which is divided into several stages using the Freytag Pyramid storytelling plot by Gustav Freytag and User Experience theory by Don Norman. By developing interactive installations, the message and impact for the audience will be better conveyed as it involves each audience. Once the audience leaves the installation area, they can understand the urgency of the problem of plastic pollution and are bound to be part of the solution.
