Abstract

ASEAN merupakan bentuk organisasi internasional yang bersifat regional di Kawasan Asia Tenggara. ASEAN memiliki prinsip yang tidak boleh ada campur tangan atau non-intervensi dari negara lain dan prinsip ini merupakan cara yang dipakai ASEAN dalam menangani sengketa yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran dari non-intervensi dalam menangani sengketa yang ada di lingkup ASEAN. Dalam Pelaksanaannya, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan teori Konstruktivisme sebagai teori dasar dalam menganalisis data-data yang ada, konsep-konsep seperti regionalisme, nilai dan norma beserta norma internasional dipakai juga dalam menganalisis data yang ditemukan. Peneliti menemukan bahwa prinsip tidak boleh adanya campur tangan dari negara lain atau non-intervensi membuat ASEAN menjadi kurang efektif dalam menyelesaikan sengketa yang ada, seperti dalam sengketa Preah Vihear membutuhkan waktu yang sangat lama dan posisi ASEAN di dalamnya pun lemah dalam memberikan solusi, selain itu juga masalah Rohingya sampai saat ini masih tidak dapat terselesaikan karena adanya prinsip non-intervensi yang menghambat / ASEAN is a form of international organization that is regional in the Southeast Asian Region. ASEAN has a principle that there should be no interference or non-intervention from other countries and this principle is the method used by ASEAN in dealing with existing disputes. This study aims to determine the role of non-intervention in dealing with disputes within ASEAN. In practice, the researcher uses a qualitative approach and constructivism theory as the basic theory in analyzing the existing data, concepts such as regionalism, values and norms along with international norms are also used in analyzing the data found. The researcher finds that the principle of no interference from other countries or non-intervention makes ASEAN less effective in resolving existing disputes, such as in the Preah Vihear dispute which takes a very long time and ASEAN's position in it is weak in providing, besides that there are also problems The Rohingya are still unresolved because of the impeding principle of non-intervention.
