Abstract

HUBUNGAN DEPRESI TERHADAP PENYAKIT MATA KERING PADA MAHASISWA PRAKLINIK FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS PELITA HARAPAN Latar Belakang: Depresi merupakan gangguan suasana hati yang menyebabkan perasaan sedih dan kehilangan minat pada aktivitas yang pada awalnya menyenangkan. Berdasarkan RISKESDAS pada tahun 2018, provinsi Banten memiliki gangguan emosional sebesar 14% atau setara dengan 37 Juta orang, dengan adanya depresi, tubuh akan menghasilkan mekanisme yang akan memicu mata kering. Studi mengenai hubungan depresi terhadap penyakit mata kering masih sangat sedikit jumlahnya di Indonesia, maka dari itu peneliti ingin melakukan studi mengenai hubungan depresi terhadap penyakit mata kering. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui apakah ada terdapat hubungan depresi dengan penyakit mata kering pada mahasiswa praklinik Fakultas kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Metodologi Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan studi potong lintang, dengan sampel sebanyak 193 mahasiswa/I praklinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Pengambilan data dilakukan dari bulan Januari 2022-April 2022menggunakankuisioner occular surface disease index(OSDI)dan center for epidemiological studies for depression (CES-D) kemudian data diolah menggunakan program SPSS 26 dan dianalisa menggunakan analisa chi-square. Hasil: Dari 199 total data yang diambil dari mahasiswa/I Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan, 97 responden memiliki depresi dan 59 (60,8%) diantaranya memiliki mata kering. Setelah dilakukan analisa menggunakan chi- square ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan (p: 0,006, OR: 1,513, 95% CI: 1,137- 2,013) antara depresi dan mata kering. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara depresi terhadap mata kering. / THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DEPRESSION WITH DRY EYE DISEASE IN PRE-CLINIC STUDENTS OF PELITA HARAPAN UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF MEDICINE Background: Depression is a mood disorder that causes feelings of sadness and loss of interest in activities at were initially pleasurable. Based on RISKESDAS in 2018, Banten province has emotional disorders of 14% or the equivalent of 37 million people. When depression occurs, the body will produce mechanisms that will trigger dry eyes. Limited studies examine the relationship between depression and dry eye disease in Indonesia, therefore the researcher conduct a study on the relationship between depression and dry eye disease Aim: To find out whether there is a relationship between depression and dry eye disease in pre-clinical students of Pelita Harapan University Faculty of Medicine. Method: This research uses a cross-sectional study, with a sample of 193 pre- clinical students from the Pelita Harapan University Faculty of Medicine. Data collection carried out from January 2022 to April 2022 using an Ocular surface disease index (OSDI) and Center for Epidemiological Studies for Depression (CES- D) questionnaire, then the data will be processed using SPSS 26 program and analyzed using the chi-square. Result: 199 data collected from Pelita Harapan University, Faculty of Medicine students, 97 respondents had depression and 59 (60,8%) of them had dry eyes. After analyzing using chi-square, it was found a significant relationship (p:0,006,OR:1,513, 95% CI: 1,137-2,013) between depression and dry eye. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between depression and dry eye disease
