Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyse the influence of work discipline, job satisfaction, and work motivation on teacher’s performance. The research uses multiple regression method which involves 44 teachers who teach at Junior High School X in North Jakarta. Result of this research shows that the teachers’ understanding on work discipline is not parallel with the effort needed to improve the quality of learners’ learning process. Work discipline in coordination decreases focus of teachers to improve quality of learning process. Work discipline has negative effect (-0.345) to teachers’ performance. Job satisfaction also has negative contribution on teachers’ performance. Job satisfaction through autonomy for making teachers’ own planning and arranging their own time table make them fail to control and do their self management. Job satisfaction has negative effect (-0.350) on teachers’ performance. Teachers’ work motivation in this research are gained from their desire to be respected by students and equity in accepting additional works. Sources of work motivation have positive contribution on teachers’ performance. Work motivation has positive effect (0.508) on teachers’ performance. / Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh disiplin kerja, kepuasan kerja, dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode regresi berganda yang melibatkan 44 orang guru yang mengajar di Sekolah Menengah Pertama X, Jakarta Utara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pemahaman guru terhadap disiplin kerja yang tidak searah dengan usaha peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran peserta didik. Disiplin kerja dalam hal berkordinasi malah membuat fokus guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran menurun. Disiplin kerja berpengaruh negatif (-0.345) terhadap kinerja guru. Selain itu, kepuasan kerja yang didapat melalui keleluasan dalam membuat rencana kerja pribadi dan waktu kerja pribadi juga turut berkontribusi dalam menurunkan kinerja. Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh negatif (-0.350) terhadap kinerja. Motivasi kerja guru dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari keinginan untuk dihormati dan rasa keadilan dalam menerima tugas tambahan. Sumber – sumber motivasi kerja tersebut memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru. Motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif (0.508) terhadap kinerja guru.
