Abstract

At this time, in the current era of globalization, information technology is increasingly advanced which demands speed and accuracy in managing the data and information produced to support the business processes of a field of work. One of the fields of work that requires the use of information technology is the auction process because most of its activities are carried out conventionally. In practice, the auction process for ordinary goods or works of art is still carried out conventionally, in the sense that the customer must come directly to the office holding the auction to carry out the auction process. In addition to the conventional process, most of the data processing in the auction process has not utilized computerized media. This conventional process is certainly not very effective and efficient considering that the auction process is usually carried out in a very long period of time and requires secure data recording so that it is not easily changed by irresponsible parties. In this research, an auction website will be developed that handles the auction process of fine arts from the bid, offer, payment and data processing processes. Based on the results of the tests carried out, the art auction marketplace information system that is built effectively and efficiently can handle the auction process from start to finish in order to provide security for bidders./ Pada saat ini, Dalam era globalisasi sekarang ini, teknologi informasi semakin maju yang menuntut kecepatan dan ketepatan dalam mengelola data serta informasi yang dihasilkan hingga menunjang proses bisnis dari suatu bidang pekerjaan. Salah satu bidang pekerjaan yang memerlukan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi adalah pada proses lelang dikarenakan kegiatannya masih banyak dilakukan secara konvensional. Pada praktiknya, proses pelelangan barang biasa ataupun karya seni rupa masih dilakukan secara konvensional dalam artian pelanggan harus datang langsung ke kantor yang mengadakan lelang untuk melakukan proses lelang. Selain prosesnya yang konvensional, pengolahan data pada proses lelang juga kebanyakan belum memanfaatkan media komputerisasi. Proses konvensional ini tentunya sangat tidak efektif dan efisien mengingat proses pelelangan biasanya dilakukan dalam jangka waktu yang sangat lama serta memerlukan pencatatan data yang aman agar tidak mudah diubah oleh pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Pada penelitian ini, akan dikembangkan sebuah website lelang yang menangani proses lelang karya seni rupa baik dari proses bid, offer, pembayaran hingga pengolahan datanya. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan, sistem informasi marketplace lelang karya seni rupa yang dibangun secara efektif dan efisien dapat menangani proses pelelangan dari awal hingga akhir agar dapat memberikan keamanan bagi para peserta lelang.
