Abstract

It is important for investors and shareholders to know factors that influence firm value because it can reduce the risk of wrong decision of investment. Investors and shareholders uses corporate size, profitability, and leverage to determine the firm value and see which company is the most profitable. This research aims to determine the influence of corporate size, profitability, and leverage towards firm value in basic materials company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. In this research measurement of profitability is using return on assets, while in leverage the measurement is using debt to equity ratio, and in firm value the measurement is using price to book value. The research conducted using quantitative approach which using purposive sampling technique. The data in this research is considered as secondary data because it is obtained from the website of Indonesia Stock Exchange. The object in this research is basic materials company that is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2016 to 2020. Total companies that are qualified as samples in this research are 21 and total of samples are 105. Results of this research show that corporate size has a significant influence towards firm value partially, profitability (return on assets) has a significant influence towards firm value partially, and leverage (debt to equity ratio) does not have a significant influence towards firm value partially. Meanwhile, corporate size, profitability (return on assets), and leverage (debt to equity ratio) have significant influence towards firm value simultaneously./ Mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi nilai perusahaan adalah hal yang penting bagi investor dan pemegang saham, karena dengan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi nilai perusahaan dapat mengurangi resiko salah investasi. Investor and pemegang saham dapat menggunakan ukuran perushaan, profitabilitas, dan leverage untuk menentukan nilai perusahaan dan melihat perusahaan manakah yang paling menguntungkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ukuran perusahaan, profitabilitas, dan leverage terhadap perusahaan barang baku yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Dalam penilitian ini pengukuran profitabilitas menggunakan return on assets, sedangkan pada leverage pengukuran menngunakan debt to equity ratio, dan pada nilai perusahaan pengukuran menggunakan price to book value. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data pada penilitian ini adalah data sekunder karena diperoleh dari website Bursa Efek Indonesia. Objek dalam penilitian ini adalah perusahaan barang baku yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2016 sampai 2020. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan secara parsial, profitabilitas (return on assets) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan secara parsial, dan leverage (debt to equity ratio) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan secara parsial. Sedangkan, ukuran perusahaan, profitabilitas (return on assets), dan leverage (debt to equity ratio) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan secara simultan.
