Abstract

One of the problems that PT. Ocean Centra Furnindo currently experiencing is loss due to late or unpaid invoice by the company’s customers. One of the policies to overcome this problem is to set a credit limit for each of the company’s customers, but at the moment the credit limit was set subjectively without using supporting data. This study aims to create a Decision Support System that can help to determine an objective and appropriate credit limit for company’s customers. The criteria that that is used to set the limit was obtained from Head of Marketing, which acts as the decision maker to set the limit. To build this Decision Support System, Decision Tree method will be used to determine the credit limit for each of the customers. From the research results, it can be determined that Decision Tree method which is used to build the Decision Support System can be implemented dan works well as desired. / Salah satu permasalahan yang dialami saat ini oleh PT. Ocean Centra Furnindo saat ini adalah terjadinya kerugian dikarenakan pembayaran tagihan yang telat maupun tidak dibayar oleh pelanggan perusahaan, salah satu kebijakan untuk mengatasi ini adalah dengan menetapkan limit kredit untuk tiap pelanggan, tetapi untuk saat ini penetapan limit masih dilakukan secara subjektif tanpa data yang mendukung, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat Decision Support System membantu menentukan limit kredit yang sesuai dan bersifat objektif untuk pelanggan perusahaan. Kriteria yang digunakan untuk menetapkan limit didapatkan dari hasil wawancara dengan Head Marketing sebagai pelaku pengambilan keputusan untuk menetapkan limit. Untuk membangun Decision Support System ini akan menggunakan metode Decision Tree dalam menentukan limit kredit pelanggan. Dari hasil penelitian dapat didapatkan bahwa metode Decision Tree yang digunakan untuk membangun Decision Support System ini dapat diimplementasikan dan bekerja dengan baik sesuai dengan yang diinginkan.
