Abstract
In the world of education, currently it is obligatory for junior high school students in the last year to choose a Natural or Social Science study program for the high school level. For this reason, a system is needed to assist final year junior high school students in determining the choice of applied science they will choose for the high school level. This study aims to create an expert system application that uses the website-based forward chaining method for the selection of study programs, the use of the forward chaining method because forward chaining will select the facts of the study program information first and then conclude it into a conclusion according to the previous facts. With the application of this forward chaining method expert system, students are expected to be able to use the system for consulting activities in order to get solutions and results from the consultations carried out. The accuracy of the expert system for the forward chaining method has a system accuracy of 80% from the 20 student data experiments that have been carried out./ Dalam dunia Pendidikan, saat ini mewajibkan siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama tahun terakhir untuk memilih program studi Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam ataupun Sosial untuk jenjang Sekolah Menengah Atas. Untuk itu diperlukannya sebuah sistem untuk membantu siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama tingkat akhir dalam menentukan pilihan ilmu terapan yang akan mereka pilih untuk jenjang Sekolah Menengah Atas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sebuah aplikasi sistem pakar yang menggunakan metode forward chaining berbasis website untuk pemilihan program studi, penggunaan metode forward chaining karena forward chaining akan memilih fakta-fakta informasi program studi terlebih dahulu kemudian disimpulkan menjadi sebuah konklusi sesuai fakta sebelumnya. Dengan adanya aplikasi sistem pakar metode forward chaining ini, siswa diharapkan dapat menggunakan sistem tersebut untuk kegiatan konsultasi agar mendapatkan solusi dan hasil dari konsultasi yang dilakukan. Keakuratan dari sistem pakar metode forward chaining ini memiliki keakuratan sistem sebesar 80% dari percobaan 20 data siswa yang telah dilakukan.
