Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, students had to do learning from home, with distance learning making it difficult for students to understand and focus on the lessons delivered by the teacher. If offline learning can lead to an increase in COVID-19 cases. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government has determined that teaching and learning activities must comply with The Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement in North Sumatra Province. The use of the k-nearest neighbor method is done by finding the origin of the data object that is nearest to its neighbor. The data was used survey data, filled out by students in North Sumatra Province using google form. Based on the results, students were more interested in conducting distance learning activities during the COVID-19 pandemic and were followed by face-to-face teaching and learning activities. But no one is interested in doing hybrid teaching and learning activities. Out of the four experiments, the accuracy value obtained was 50% for experiment 1, 87.5% for experiment 2, 92.33% for experiment 3, and 93.33% for experiment 4./Selama masa pandemi COVID-19 para pelajar harus melakukan pembelajaran dari rumah, dengan adanya pembelajaran jarak jauh tersebut membuat para pelajar sulit untuk memahami dan fokus dalam pelajaran yang disampaikan oleh guru. Apabila pembelajaran dilakukan secara tatap muka, dapat mengakibatkan kasus COVID-19 menjadi meningkat. Dengan begitu, COVID-19 mengakibatkan proses kegiatan belajar – mengajar menjadi tidak maksimal, maka pemerintah menetapkan pembagian kegiatan belajar – mengajar harus dilakukan sesuai dengan pembagian level Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat yang ada di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penggunaan metode k-nearest neighbor dilakukan dengan mencari asal objek data yang berdekatan dengan tetangganya. Data yang digunakan berupa data survey yang diisi oleh para pelajar yang ada di provinsi sumatera utara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa para pelajar lebih berminat untuk melakukan kegiatan belajar – mengajar jarak jauh selama pandemi COVID-19 dan diikuti oleh kegiatan belajar – mengajar tatap muka. Tetapi tidak ada yang berminat untuk melakukan kegiatan belajar – mengajar secara hybrid. Dari keempat percobaan tersebut nilai keakuratan yang diperoleh sebesar 50% untuk percobaan 1, 87.5% untuk percobaan 2 , 92.33% untuk percobaan 3, dan 93.33% untuk percobaan 4.
