Abstract

Adoption is an action to take someone, either a child or a teenager, to enter and become part of a family. In practice, the process of adopting children is still done manually, namely by directly visiting the orphanage and then looking at the information on which orphans/orphans will be adopted. This manual process is certainly not very effective and efficient, because it costs a lot of time and money for transportation costs, especially for prospective adoptive parents who are in a location very far from the orphanage. On the side of the orphanage owner, they often complain that it is difficult to recommend orphans/orphans for adoption by prospective parents because there is no use of information technology and the manual process of disseminating information will make it difficult to reach people in various regions. Because of these problems, it is necessary to build an online adoption application based on Android mobile that provides convenience in the adoption process called M-Hope. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the M-Hope application made it easier for prospective adoptive parents to carry out the adoption process effectively and efficiently because the application provided a feature to make donations to foster children without the need to visit the orphanage. In addition, the M-Hope application also makes it easier for the orphanage to reach more adoptive parents./ Adopsi merupakan suatu tindakan untuk mengambil seseorang baik anak kecil ataupun anak remaja untuk masuk dan menjadi bagian dari sebuah keluarga. Pada praktiknya, proses adopsi anak masih dilakukan secara manual yaitu dengan secara langsung mengunjungi panti asuhan dan kemudian melihat informasi anakanak yatim/piatu mana yang akan diadopsi. Proses manual ini tentunya sangat tidak efektif dan efisien, dikarenakan menghabiskan waktu dan biaya yang cukup banyak untuk biaya transportasi khususnya untuk calon orang tua adopsi yang berada di lokasi yang sangat jauh dari panti asuhan tersebut. Di sisi pemilik panti asuhan, sering mengeluhkan bahwa sulitnya untuk merekomendasikan anak yatim/piatu untuk diadopsi oleh calon orang tua dikarenakan belum adanya pemanfaatan teknologi informasi serta proses penyebaran informasi yang manual akan sulit menjangkau masyarakat di berbagai daerah. Oleh karena permasalahan tersebut, perlu dibangun sebuah aplikasi adopsi online berbasis mobile Android yang memberikan kemudahan dalam merupakan proses adopsi yang dinamakan M-Hope. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa aplikasi MHope yang memudahkan calon orang tua adopsi dalam melakukan proses adopsi secara efektif dan efisien dikarenakan aplikasi tersedia adanya fitur untuk melakukan donasi kepada anak asuh panti asuhan tanpa perlu mendatangi panti asuhan. Selain itu, aplikasi M-Hope juga memudahkan pihak panti asuhan menjangkau lebih banyak orang tua adopsi.
