Abstract

Creativity is one of the important elements for students to be able to come up with new ideas as a result of the ability to think fluently, flexibly, originally, and elaboratively. The development of creativity needs equal attention from parents and schools in its treatment to intelligence. Creativity can influence students to be open to new experiences, interests in various activities, trust in their own ideas, and independence in making decisions. This study aims to see the correlation between creativity and musical intelligence that can be obtained from the art curriculum at school, to see the correlation between creativity and social intelligence obtained from the daily interactions of the students at school, and to see the corelation between musical intelligence and social intelligence. This is quantitative research that uses a correlation test and hypothesis testing of variables to analyse the data obtained. The results have shown that there was no positive correlation between creativity and musical intelligence. Likewise, there was no positive correlation between creativity and social intelligence, and no positive correlation was found between musical intelligence and social intelligence. All the variables studied did not have any positive correlation between the variables. This happened as a result of the data collection method used. The Creativity test used the Figural and Verbal Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking or TTCT related to linguistic and visual-spatial intelligence. The musical intelligence test method used the bottom up musical intelligence related to identify forms of sounds. The social intelligence test used the intrapersonal and interpersonal indicators related to emotional and social intelligences. The creativity test worked more on developing and generating new ideas using the figural and verbal methods while the musical intelligence test worked more on memories such as recalling terms of music by sound and the social intelligence worked more on how the observer measured the ability of the subjects on treating the others./Kreativitas adalah salah satu unsur penting untuk siswa dapat mencetuskan suatu ide baru sebagai hasil dari kemampuan berpikir secara lancar, lentur, orisinal, dan elaboratif. Pengembangan kreativitas perlu mendapat perhatian yang setara dari orang tua dan sekolah dalam perlakuannya pada kecerdasan. Kreativitas dapat mempengaruhi anak untuk dapat terbuka terhadap pengalaman baru, minat terhadap suatu kegiatan, kepercayaan terhadap gagasannya sendiri, dan kemandirian dalam memutuskan pertimbangannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara kreativitas dengan kecerdasan musikal yang dapat diperoleh dari kurikulum seni di sekolah, juga melihat hubungan antara kreativitas dengan kecerdasan sosial yang diperoleh dari pergaulan sehari-hari siswa di sekolah, juga melihat hubungan antara kecerdasan musikal dan kecerdasan sosial. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan uji korelasi dan uji hipotesis antar variabel untuk menganalisa data yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa antara kreativitas dengan kecerdasan musikal tidak memiliki hubungan yang positif. Demikian juga antara kreativitas dengan kecerdasan sosial tidak ditemukan hubungan yang positif, dan juga tidak ditemukan hubungan yang positif antara kecerdasan musikal dengan kecerdasan sosial. Seluruh variabel yang diteliti tidak memiliki hubungan yang positif antar variabel. Hal ini terjadi sebagai akibat dari metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan. Tes Kreativitas menggunakan figural dan verbal Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking atau TTCT terkait kecerdasan linguistik dan visual-spasial. Metode tes kecerdasan musikal menggunakan kecerdasan musikal bottom up terkait dengan mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk suara. Tes kecerdasan sosial menggunakan indikator intrapersonal dan interpersonal yang terkait pada kecerdasan emosional dan sosial. Tes kreativitas lebih bekerja pada pengembangan dan pembangkitan ide-ide baru dengan menggunakan metode figural dan verbal sedangkan tes kecerdasan musikal lebih bekerja pada ingatan seperti mengingat istilah musik dengan suara dan kecerdasan sosial bekerja lebih pada bagaimana pengamat mengukur kemampuan subjek pada memperlakukan orang lain.
