Abstract

Pometia Pinnata J.R Forst & G. Forst (matoa) merupakan salah satu buah identitas dari daerah Papua. Matoa banyak diminati masyarakat karena cita rasanya, selain itu juga dimanfaatkan sebagai obat tradisional karena kandungan yang ada dalam matoa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri dari fraksi aktif biji matoa terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli. Kontrol positif yang digunakan adalah Ciprofloxacin dan kontrol negatif adalah Dymethil Sulfoxide. Biji matoa di ekstraksi dengan pelarut etanol 96% dan dilanjutkan dengan fraksinasi lalu diuapkan dengan rotary evaporator. Uji aktivitas antibakteri ini menggunakan metode difusi Kirby Bauer pada berbagai konsentrasi yaitu 100 mg/mL, 200 mg/mL, 300 mg/mL, 400 mg/mL, dan 500 mg/mL.Hasil dari rata-rata diameter zona hambat yang tercipta dari pengujian fraksi aktif biji matoa terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli pada 5 konsentrasi berturut-turut yaitu 8,89 mm, 10,18 mm, 10,34 mm, 10,84 mm, dan 11,76 mm. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan One Way ANOVA mendapatkan hasil sig p < 0,05 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antar konsentrasi lalu dilanjutkan dengan uji post hoc Tukey HSD untuk melihat kelompok mana yang berbeda secara signifikan. / Pometia Pinnata J.R Forst & G. Forst (matoa) is one of the fruits of identity from the Papua region. Matoa is in great demand by the public because of its taste, besides that it is also used as traditional medicine because of the content in matoa. This research was conducted to determine the antibacterial activity of the active fraction of matoa seeds against Escherichia coli bacteria. The positive control used was Ciprofloxacin and the negative control was Dymethil Sulfoxide. Matoa seeds were extracted with 96% ethanol solvent and continued with fractionation and then evaporated with a rotary evaporator. This antibacterial activity test used the Kirby Bauer diffusion method at various concentrations, namely 100 mg/mL, 200 mg/mL, 300 mg/mL, 400 mg/mL, and 500 mg/mL. testing the active fraction of matoa seeds against Escherichia coli bacteria at 5 consecutive concentrations, namely 8.89 mm, 10.18 mm, 10.34 mm, 10.84 mm, and 11.76 mm. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by One Way ANOVA to get sig p < 0.05, which means that there was a significant difference between concentrations and then continued with the Tukey HSD post hoc test to see which groups were significantly different.
