Abstract

Latar Belakang : Seorang remaja peminum alkohol dapat mengalami penuaan dini pada otak dengan adanya penurunan fungsi kognitif oleh karena kandungan alkohol yang mampu menghambat pada beberapa neurotransmitter otak. Namun, belum ada penelitian yang membahas secara spesifik mengenai hubungan konsumsi alkohol dengan penurunan fungsi kognitif pada usia muda. Tujuan Penelitian : Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsumsi alkohol dengan gangguan fungsi kognitif pada usia 18-45 tahun di Jabodetabek. Metodologi Penelitian : Penelitian ini menggunakan studi cross-sectional. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui google form (data demografis, kriteria eksklusi, dan Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test) dan kuesioner Montreal Cognitive Assessment Indonesia Test secara daring. Analisis penelitian menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil : Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara konsumsi alkohol dan gangguan fungsi kognitif berdasarkan nilai p=0,004 (α=0,05). Prevalensi penyalahgunaan alkohol dan gangguan fungsi kognitif pada penelitian ini sebesar 27,5% dan 59,4%. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara konsumsi alkohol dan gangguan fungsi kognitif pada usia 18-45 tahun di Jabodetabek. Kata Kunci : alkohol, fungsi kognitif, usia produktif, jabodetabek/Background : A teenager who drinks alcohol can experience premature aging of the brain with a decrease in cognitive function because of the alcohol content that can inhibit some brain neurotransmitters. However, there are no studies that specifically discuss the relationship between alcohol consumption and cognitive decline at a young age. Aim : To determine the association between alcohol consumption and impaired cognitive function at the age of 18-45 years in Jabodetabek. Method : This study used a cross-sectional study. Data collection using purposive sampling method. Data was collected through google form (demographic data, exclusion criteria, and Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test) and the online Montreal Cognitive Assessment Indonesia Test questionnaire. Research analysis using chi-square test. Results : There is a significant relationship between alcohol consumption and impaired cognitive function based on p value = 0.004 (α = 0.05). The prevalence of alcohol abuse and impaired cognitive function in this study was 27.5% and 59.4%, respectively. Conclusion : There is an association between alcohol consumption and cognitive function disorders at the age of 18-45 years in Jabodetabek.
