Abstract
Some teachers and staffs at Gracia Abadi Tangerang School have been working together to build a school building without salary. It is so rare today that researcher is very interested in researching further while thinking that the leadership of school’s founder has had a positive impact on teachers. This study aims to know: 1) How the school founder applies transformational leadership in school management. 2) What are the impacts and constraints experienced in applying transformational leadership. 3) The impact of transformational leadership on teacher commitment at this school. This study uses qualitative phenomenological methods with data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. The validity of the data will be tested with source triangulation. The results of this research indicate that transformational leadership has been shown to have a positive impact on teacher commitment in Gracia Abadi School. / Sebagian guru dan staf di Sekolah Gracia Abadi Tangerang telah bekerja sama untuk membangun gedung sekolah tanpa gaji. Hal tersebut jarang terjadi pada jaman sekarang sehingga peneliti sangat tertarik untuk meneliti lebih lanjut sambil memikirkan bahwa leadership pemimpin yayasan ini memberi dampak yang positif kepada guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui:1) Bagaimana pendiri sekolah menerapkan kepemimpinan transformasional di dalam manajemen sekolah. 2) Apa saja dampak dan kendala yang dialami dalam menerapkan kepemimpinan transformasional. 3) Dampak kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap komitmen guru di sekolah Gracia abadi. Penelitian ini memakai metode fenomenologis kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan kajian dokumen. Keabsahan data akan diuji dengan trianggulasi sumber. Hasil dari riset ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional telah terbukti memiliki dampak positif pada komitmen guru di sekolah Gracia Abadi.
