Abstract

A survey that measures the spirituality of Indonesian Christians in 2021, concluded that Christians who are active in ministry tend to have higher levels of spirituality. It was further explained that Christians who are older, women, are in a high socioeconomic class, and have a high level of education, and are active in the ministry, tend to have a higher level of spirituality. The results that surveys need to get the attention of the church, especially in efforts to improve the practice of Christian education through Sunday schools. The involvement of Sunday school teachers' services will have an impact on the success of Christian education services, especially for early childhood. The impact of transformative learning on babies and little child not only obtained through the involvement of teachers’ services but also through the real power of teachers’ spirituality, confirmed in words and actions. This research was conducted to find out the meaning of Sunday school teachers' stewardship for faith growth in Gereja XYZ Tangerang. A qualitative approach was used in this study using the phenomenological method to explore the experience of serving Sunday school teachers in early childhood. The exploration of Sunday school teachers at Gereja XYZ Tangerang shows that Sunday school teachers' understanding of the meaning of the role as a Sunday school teacher is an opportunity given by God, as a response of gratitude and offering to God for the gift of salvation to them. The service of Sunday school teachers to early childhood is believed not to be in vain because God Himself will speak and provide an understanding of God's word and faith growth to Sunday school children, and a service that must involve many teachers as well as the presence and involvement of parents. / Sebuah Survei yang mengukur spiritualitas umat Kristen Indonesia pada tahun 2021, menyimpulkan bahwa umat Kristen yang aktif dalam pelayanan, cenderung memiliki tingkat spiritualitas yang lebih tinggi. Lebih lanjut dijelaskan bahwa umat Kristen yang lebih tua, perempuan, berada pada kelas sosial ekonomi yang tinggi, dan tingkat pendidikan yang tinggi, serta aktif dalam pelayanan, cenderung memiliki tingkat spiritualitas yang lebih tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini perlu mendapat perhatian gereja, khususnya dalam upaya meningkatkan praksis pendidikan Kristen melalui sekolah minggu. Keterlibatan pelayanan GSM akan memberi dampak pada keberhasilan pelayanan pendidikan Kristen khususnya terhadap anak usia dini. Dampak pembelajaran yang transformatif pada diri ASM tidaklah diperoleh hanya melalui keterlibatan pelayanan GSM, melainkan juga melalui kekuatan spiritualitas GSM yang nyata, terkonfirmasi dalam perkataan dan perbuatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan makna penatalayanan guru-guru sekolah minggu bagi pertumbuhan iman di Gereja XYZ Tangerang. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan metode fenomenologi untuk melakukan eksplorasi atas pengalaman pelayanan guru-guru sekolah minggu bagi anak usia dini. Eksplorasi atas pengalaman pelayanan guru-guru SM Gereja XYZ Tangerang memperlihatkan bahwa pemahaman guru-guru sekolah minggu atas arti pelayanan sebagai guru sekolah minggu adalah sebuah kesempatan dari Tuhan, sebagai respons syukur dan persembahan kepada Tuhan atas anugerah keselamatan dan penyertaan yang diberikan. Pelayananan guru- guru sekolah minggu kepada anak usia dini yang diyakini tidak akan sia-sia, karena Allah sendiri yang akan berbicara dan memberikan pemahaman atas firman Tuhan dan pertumbuhan iman kepada anak sekolah minggu, sebuah pelayanan yang harus melibatkan banyak guru serta kehadiran dan keterlibatan orang tua.
