Abstract
Air merupakan salah satu komponen utama yang dibutuhkan tubuh dalam jumlah yang banyak.Tubuh seseorang mengandung 80% air. Kekurangan cairan akan mengakibatkan dehidrasi dan pengentalan darah yang akan menyebabkan kematian dan kerusakan fungsi organ. Pengetahuan tentang air putih merupakan sesuatu yang penting yang dapat mempermudah terjadinya perilaku pada diri seseorang.Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Polytechnic and Asian Food Informatics Ion Centre menunjukkan sebagian besar remaja usia 15-24 tahun mengonsumsi air putih kurang dari delapan gelas per hari.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang mengonsumsi air putih pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2022 – Maret 2022 dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan analisis univariat. Sampel yang terlibat dalam pengisian kuesioner sebanyak 156 mahasiswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gambaran tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang mengonsumsi air putih di satu Universitas Swasta Indonesia Bagian Barat berada pada kategori cukup yaitu 71,8%, kategori kurang 14,7%, dan kategori baik 13,5%. Diharapkan dari hasil penelitian ini mahasiswa dapat memanfaatkan pengetahuan yang dimiliki tentang air putih untuk menjaga status hidrasi tubuh dalam menjalani aktivitas sehari-hari. / Water is one of basic components that the body needs. The human body consist of 80% of water. Fluid deficiency will cause dehydration and blood coagulation which conduce death and organ function failure. Knowledge of water consumption is important to evoke a person’s behavior to consume water. Based on research of the Polytechnic and Asian Food Informatics Ion Center stated most of adolescents aged 15-24 years, consume less than eight glasses of water per day.The aim of the research was to identify the students knowledge level regarding water consumption at the faculty of Education. This research used quantitative method with a descriptive approach with purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted in February 2022 – March 2022 using an online questionnaire and using univariate data analysis. The sampel in this research were 156 students. Result indicated the description of students knowledge level regarding water consumption at University of Western Indonesia were moderate category 71,8%, good category 13,5% and less category 14,7%. The recommendation of this research was students are expected to use their knowledge about water to maintain hydration while carrying out their daily activities.
