Abstract

Latar Belakang: Hipertensi merupakan penyakit yang diderita seumur hidup, sehingga diperlukan kepatuhan penderita hipertensi dalam menjalankan terapi pengobatan. Dukungan keluarga serta peran tenaga kesehatan sangat dibutuhkan oleh penderita hipertensi. Kepatuhan dalam mengonsumsi obat hipertensi dapat mengontrol gejala hipertensi dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup penderita hipertensi. Tujuan Penelitian: Mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga dan peran tenaga kesehatan terhadap kepatuhan mengonsumsi obat hipertensi pada penderita hipertensi di wilayah Indonesia bagian barat. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 96 responden penderita hipertensi dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Kendall’s tau-b. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah penderita hipertensi yang berusia ≥ 18 tahun di wilayah Indonesia bagian barat. Hasil: Hasil yang diperoleh adalah tidak ada hubungan antara dukungan keluarga terhadap kepatuhan mengonsumsi obat hipertensi pada penderita hipertensi dengan p = 0,235 dan tidak ada hubungan antara peran tenaga kesehatan terhadap kepatuhan mengonsumsi obat hipertensi pada penderita hipertensi dengan p = 0,121. Kesimpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dan peran tenaga kesehatan terhadap kepatuhan mengonsumsi obat pada penderita hipertensi pada penelitian ini. Saran: Untuk penelitian berikutnya dapat menggali lebih jauh mengenai faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi kepatuhan mengonsumsi obat hipertensi / Background: Hypertension is a lifelong disease, so it is necessary to comply with hypertension sufferers in carrying out treatment therapy. Family support and the role of health workers are needed by people with hypertension. Compliance with taking hypertension medication can control hypertension symptoms and improve the quality of life of people with hypertension. Aim: To determine the relationship between family support and the role of health workers on adherence to taking hypertension drugs in hypertension sufferers in the western part of Indonesia. Research Methods: This research is a correlational quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. This study was conducted on 96 respondents with hypertension using the Kendall's tau-b correlation test. Respondents in this study were hypertensive patients aged 18 years in one region of western Indonesia. Results: The results obtained were that there was no relationship between family support and adherence to taking hypertension medication in patients with hypertension with p=0,235 and there was no relationship between the role of health workers on adherence to taking hypertension medication in patients with hypertension with p=0,121. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is no relationship between family support and the role of health workers on medication adherence in patients with hypertension in this study. Recommendation: The next research can dig deep.
