Abstract

Latar belakang: Celah bibir dan lelangit merupakan kelainan kongenital yang banyak terjadi dunia. Kelainan ini disebabkan karena adanya kegagalan penutupan pada jaringan yang membentuk bibir pada masa kehamilan 4-7 minggu, dan langit-langit pada masa kehamilan 6-9 minggu. Sebagian besar anak dengan celah bibir atau celah celah lelangit akan melakukan perawatan khusus seperti operasi celah dengan tujuan untuk memperbaiki fungsi bicara, fungsi pendengaran, mengurangi masalah psikologis dan sosial, serta meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Sejak tahun 2020, pandemi COVID-19 memiliki banyak dampak khususnya dalam bidang kesehatan. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini ditujukan untuk meneliti apakah mengenai pandemi COVID-19 berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap perawatan celah bibir dan lelangit di Rumah Sakit Siloam Lippo Village. Tujuan penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pandemi COVID-19 berpengaruh terhadap perawatan celah bibir dan lelangit di Rumah Sakit Siloam Lippo Village. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi potong lintang pada 194 pasien anak yang menjalani operasi perbaikan celah di Rumah Sakit Siloam Lippo Village pada tahun 2018 – 2021 yang dipilih dengan metode non probability sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan rekam medis pasien. Hasil akan dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-square dan uji T-test tidak berpasangan. Hasil: Terdapat 100 (51,5%) pasien celah bibir dengan/tanpa celah lelangit di Rumah Sakit Siloam Lippo Village pada kohort pre-pandemi dan 94 (48,5%) pasien pada kohort pandemi. Rata-rata usia pasien saat mengalami labioplasti sebelum pandemi adalah 6.1 ± 2.9 bulan (n = 66) dan meningkat menjadi 6.9 ± 4.9 bulan (n = 69) setelah pandemi (P = 0.229). Rata-rata usia pasien saat mengalami palatoplasti juga meningkat dari 22.3 ± 13.5 bulan (n = 34) pada kohort pre-pandemi menjadi 23.6 ± 10.7 bulan (n = 25) pada kohort pandemi (P = 0.7). Kesimpulan: Pandemi COVID-19 tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap perawatan celah bibir dan lelangit di Rumah Sakit Siloam Lippo Village. Namun, dibutuhkan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk dapat secara pasti menentukan efek dari penundaan perawatan celah bibir dan lelangit akibat pandemi COVID-19. Kata kunci: Celah bibir, celah lelangit, celah bibir dan lelangit, perawatan, operasi, pandemi COVID-19/Background: Cleft lip and palate is a common congenital anomaly that occurs worldwide. This anomaly is caused by failure of closure of the tissue that forms the lips at 4-7 weeks of gestation, and the palate at 6-9 weeks of gestation. Most children with cleft lip or cleft palate will undergo special treatment such as cleft surgery with the aim of improving speech function, hearing function, reducing psychological and social problems, and improving quality of life. Since 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has had many impacts, especially in the health sector. Therefore, this research was aimed to find out whether the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant effect on the cleft lip and palate care at Siloam Lippo Village Hospital. Aim of study: This study aims to determine whether the COVID-19 pandemic has an effect on cleft lip and palate care at Siloam Lippo Village Hospital. Method: This study uses a cross sectional study design on 194 pediatric patients who underwent cleft repair surgery at Siloam Lippo Village Hospital in 2018 – 2021 which will be selected by non-probability sampling method. Data is collected using patient medical records. Results are to be analyzed using the Chi-square and nonpaired T-test hypothesis test. Results: There were 100 (51.5%) cleft lip with/without cleft palate patients at Siloam Lippo Village Hospital in the pre-pandemic cohort and 94 (48.5%) patients in the pandemic cohort. The mean age of patients at labioplasty before the pandemic was 6.1 ± 2.9 months (n = 66) and increased to 6.9 ± 4.9 months (n = 69) after the pandemic (P = 0.229). The mean age of patients at palatoplasty also increased from 22.3 ± 13.5 months (n = 34) in the pre-pandemic cohort to 23.6 ± 10.7 months (n = 25) in the pandemic cohort (P = 0.7). Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic didn’t significantly affect the cleft lip and palate care at Siloam Lippo Village Hospital. However, further research is needed to definitively determine the effect of delayed cleft lip and palate treatment due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
