Abstract

Face to face fundraising merupakan kegiatan penggalangan dana LSM yang juga merupakan sosialisasi secara langsung pada masyarakat di tempat umum. Tantangan face to face fundraiser adalah penolakan masyarakat, tingkat kepercayaan masyarakat yang rendah, persaingan antar LSM yang tinggi, menurunnya minat masyarakat dalam berdonasi, kurangnya jumlah masyarakat kompeten untuk menjadi donatur tetap, serta target donatur face to face fudnraiser itu sendiri. Tujuan penelitian adalah menggambarkan kecerdasan daya juang mencakup dimensi kendali (conrol), asal-usul dan pengakuan (origin dan ownership), jangkauan (reach), serta daya tahan (endruance); serta perannya dalam proses pencapaian kesuksesan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian Kualitatif Fenomenologis, dan dilakukan pada tiga subjek yang bekerja sebagai face to face fundraiser di Yayasan X di Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kecerdasan daya juang berperan bagi face to face fundraiser dalam menghadapi tantangan kerja. Subjek penelitian dapat beradaptasi dengan pekerjaan, melakukan manajemen diri, serta menggunakan transferable skills dalam menghadapi tantangan kerja. Subjek Asti dan Lili yang memiliki masa kerja lebih lama memiliki tanggung jawab kerja walaupun cenderung menyalahkan diri terhadap kinerja bawahan serta suasana kerja yang buruk. Bill yang memiliki masa kerja lebih sedikit memiliki self-serving attribution yang kemudian berdampak pada tanggung jawab dan kepuasan kerjanya. Subjek penelitian dapat membatasi jangkauan masalah, serta memiliki daya tahan dan resiliensi terhadap tekanan. Pada awal bekerja, face to face fundraiser mengalami berbagai tantangan dan kesulitan, namun cenderung untuk tetap optimis dalam ‘mendaki’, fokus terhadap motivasi ekstrinsik dan instrinsik yang dimiliki, serta belajar dari kesulitan-kesulitan yang dilaluinya sehingga dapat mencapai kesuksesan yang diinginkannya / Face to face fundraising is NGO’s fundraising activitiy are also a direct socialization to public in public spaces. The challenges of face to face fundraising are public rejection, NGO fundraising rivalry, decrease of public donate behavior, less competent society as anual donor, and face to face fundraiser’s donor target. Goals of this research are to describe adversity quotient based on control, origin and ownership, reach, and andurance; and its contribution to success. This research is done by using fenomenology qualitative method, and was conducted on three subjects who work as face to face fundraiser at X NGO in Surabaya. The result of this research showed that adversity quotient playing the role for subjects to face work challenges.. Subjects can adapt with their work, do self manajemen, and use transferable skills when facing work challenges. Asti and Lili who have longer working period have responsiblity of their work eventho tend to blame themselfes for bad performance of their subordinates and workplace atmosphere. Bill who have lower working period have self-serving attribution that lead to less responsibility and less work satisfaction. Subjects can also limit the range of problems, and have stress endurance and resilience. At the begining of work as face to face fundrasier, subjects expirienced so many challenges and difficulties, however subjects tent to stay optimist on ‘climbing’, focus on instrinsic and extrinsic motivations that they have, and learn from that difficulties, and then can achieve the success they personally want
