Abstract

Globalisasi pasar saat ini berdampak pada ketatnya persaingan bisnis di Indonesia. Hal in memicu perusahaan untuk melakukan pengembangan dengan berbagai macam strategi agar keuntungan perusahaan dapat meningkat. Salah satu strategi yang dapat digunakan adalah dengan menerapkan Sistem Informasi Akuntansi. Penggunaan sistem diharapkan mampu memberikan dampak pada peningkatan kinerja perusahaan sehingga perusahaan semakin maju. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi sistem informasi akuntansi di PT. TAMS. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengetahui bagaimana penerapan sistem informasi akuntansi persediaan di dealer Honda Sidoarjo (PT. TAMS), kemudian sistem yang telah diterapkan dievaluasi dan diberikan saran serta rekomendasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan alat bantu wawancara dengan pegawai di dealer Honda Sidoarjo dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada beberapa hal yang perlu diperbaiki dari sistem informasi akuntansi yang diterapkan, yaitu: menggunakan check list dalam melakukan pengecekan pada saat barang datang dan lebih memperhatikan kembali tugas dan tanggung jawab masing-masing pegawai agar tidak terjadi kerangkapan tugas sehingga kinerja pegawai lebih maksimal / Market globlalization these days affecting the tightness of business rivalries in Indonesia. This triggered lots of companies in using various stratrgies in order to gain more profit. One of the strategies. One of the strategies is by applying Accounting Information System. The function of this system hoprfully will improve companies’ performances and developments. This research evaluated the Accounting Information System at PT. TAMS. The aim of this research is to understand how the Accounting Information System at Honda authorized dealer in Sidoarjo (PT. TAMS) work. Then, the currently applied system be evaluated and given some suggestions and recommendations. Direct interview and close observations also being used in order to complete this research . The result of this research shown that some things are need to be corrected from the currently applied system, such as: using “check list” method when checking on incoming goods and also improving individual’s awareness of duty and responsibility so that there won’t be any multi-jobs case to maximize individual’s performance on duty
