Abstract

Kata kunci : COVID-19, Dewasa, Kualitas Tidur / Farrel Bastian Wicaksono (01071190099) THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN COVID–19 SEVERITY AND SLEEP QUALITY IN POST COVID–19 PATIENT (xiii + 46 pages + 4 charts + 5 tables + 8 attachments) Background : In December 2019, the first case of pneumonia was found caused by a virus with a new variant, namely the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and the disease known as Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19). This virus is thought to be able to trigger symptoms such as anxiety, depression, stress, and even disrupt the sleep quality of people with COVID-19 disease. Sleep quality is an important factor that has a major influence on body immunity. Having a good and sufficient sleep schedule will indirectly increase immunity, making it harder for viruses to enter the body. Based on the severity level, COVID-19 is divided into 4 categories, namely asymptomatic, mild symptoms, moderate symptoms, and severe symptoms. The spread of COVID-19 will be faster due to several factors such as age, gender, comorbid diseases, economic problems, also culture and beliefs that arise in society. Coronasomnia itself is characterized as a sleep problem that occurs due to the COVID-19 virus, which is accompanied by signs such as stress, depression, and anxiety. According to the National Sleep Foundation, the average sleep duration for adults (18-60 years old) is 7 hours. Sleep quality itself can be disrupted due to certain factors such as gender, age, genetics, and external. The external factors is the room where the individual sleeps (in this case the condition of the room, light, temperature, sound) plays an important role in good or bad individual sleep quality. Objective : To find out whether there is a relationship between the severity of COVID-19 and the quality of sleep in post-COVID-19 patients Method: The sample will be collected via purposive sampling through several contacts with an independently filled questionnaire. Results: A significant relationship was found between the severity of COVID-19 and the Quality Of sleep. Keywords : Covid-19, Adults, Sleep Quality
