Abstract

Berdasarkan data dalam penelitian yang dilakukan, terdapat 45% dari total siswa yang memperoleh hasil belajar di bawah KKM pada kuis yang pertama. Hasil belajar siswa yang rendah penting untuk dibenahi melalui metode maupun strategi mengajar yang digunakan guru. Metode pembelajaran discovery learning merupakan salah satu metode yang dapat menunjang peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Permasalahan hasil belajar siswa yang rendah menjadi faktor pemicu tujuan penulisan penelitian ini, yakni melihat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran discovery learning. Adapun metode penulisan penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif deskriptif. Pendidikan Kristen bertujuan untuk menarik keluar para siswa dari jurang dosa. Guru Kristen adalah rekan kerja Allah dibumi ini untuk menolong para siswa masuk pada terang Kristus. Guru Kristen harus memiliki kompetensi dalam membawakan pembelajaran yang dapat memberkati siswa melalui penerapan berbagai metode pembelajaran. Dalam hal ini penulis menerapkan metode pembelajaran discovery learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Melalui Penerapan metode ini, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran discovery learning mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penerapan metode ini akan lebih baik jika disertai dengan instrumen pembelajaran yang cukup, sehingga para guru harus memiliki kempetensi dalam menciptakan instrumen pembelajaran yang kreatif./ Based on the data in the research conducted, there are 45% of the total students who get learning outcomes below the KKM in the first test. Low learning result are important to improve through the methods and teaching strategies used by teachers. Discovery learning method is a method that can support the improvement of student learning result. The problem of low student learning result be a triggering factor for the purpose of writing this research, by looking at improving student learning result by applying discovery learning methods. The method of writing this research is descriptive qualitative. Christian education aims to bring out students from sinfull life. Christian teachers are God's partner on earth to help students come to the light of Christ. Christian teachers must have competence in delivering learning that can bless students through the application of various learning methods. In this case, the writer applies the discovery learning method to improve student learning result. Through the application of this method, the writer concludes that the discovery learning method is effective in improving student learning result. Noted that the application of this method will be better if it is accompanied by adequate facilities. Therefore, it is very important for the government and schools to provide learning facilities and infrastructure that will support the achievement of educational goals.
