Abstract

Latar belakang : Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) adalah alat ukur yang biasa digunakan untuk mengukur berat badan ideal dan status gizi pada orang dewasa. Indeks massa tubuh sudah menjadi alat ukur universal untuk mengukur status gizi dan massa tubuh seseorang. Faktor - faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi IMT adalah kegiatan fisik, kualitas tidur dan pola makanan yang dikonsumsi. Indeks massa tubuh memiliki faktor resiko yang dapat dimodifikasi sehingga sehingga gaya hidup yang benar dapat mencegah IMT kurang dan berlebih. Polisi merupakan salah satu pekerjaan yang memiliki perbedaan tingkat aktivitas fisik antara polisi lalu lintas dan polisi administrasi. Penelitian sebelumnya didapatkan sebagian besar polisi memiliki IMT tidak normal. Tujuan penelitian : Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat perbedaan indeks massa tubuh antara polisi lalu lintas dan polisi administrasi untuk mengetahui prediksi kesehatan dari polisi lalu lintas dan polisi administrasi sebagai salah satu cara untuk mencegah penyakit yang dipengaruhi oleh indeks massa tubuh. Hipotesis penelitian : Terdapat perbedaan indeks massa tubuh antara polisi lalu lintas dan polisi administrasi. Metode penelitian : Penelitian ini menggunakan studi potong lintang terhadap sampel yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Kata kunci : Indeks massa tubuh, polisi Hasil penelitian : Polisi administrasi memiliki IMT yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan polisi lalu lintas. Hasil perhitungan bivariat perbedaan IMT antara polisi lalu lintas dan polisi administrasi ditemukan nilai p value 0,017; OR 0,314; CI 0,129-0,760. Faktor – faktor perancu yang signifikan terhadap perbedaan IMT adalah riwayat keluarga (p value= 0,044) dan pola makan protein (p value=0,037). Kesimpulan : Terdapat perbedaan indeks massa tubuh yang signifikan antara polisi lalu lintas dan polisi administrasi. Faktor – faktor lain yang mempengaruhi perbedaan IMT antasa polisi lalu lintas dan polisi administrasi adalah riwayat keluarga dan pola makan protein. / Background : Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measuring tool commonly used to measure ideal body weight and nutritional status in adults. Body mass index has become a universal measuring tool to measure a person's nutritional status and body mass. Factors that can affect BMI are physical activity, sleep quality and food patterns consumed. Body mass index has modifiable risk factors so that the right lifestyle can prevent under and over BMI. Police is one of the jobs that have different levels of physical activity between traffic police and administrative police. Previous research found that most of the police had an abnormal BMI. Research Objectives : This study was conducted to see the difference in body mass index between the traffic police and the administrative police to determine the health predictions of the traffic police and administrative police as a way to prevent diseases that are influenced by body mass index. Research Hypothesis : There is a difference in body mass index between traffic police and administrative police. Research Methods : This study used a cross-sectional study of samples that met the research criteria. Keywords : Body mass index, police Research Results : Administrative police have a higher BMI than traffic police. The results of the bivariate calculation of the difference in BMI between the traffic police and the administrative police found a p value of 0.017; OR 0.314; CI 0.129-0.760. Significant confounding factors for differences in BMI were family history(p value= 0,044) and protein diet(p value=0,037). Conclusion : There is a significant difference in body mass index between traffic police and administrative police. Other factors that influence BMI differences between traffic police and administrative police are family history and protein diet.
