Abstract

Latar Belakang Pondok pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang biasanya tinggal bersama dalam satu lingkungan, hal ini dapat memudahkan penyebaran berbagai penyakit terutama penyakit kulit apabila tidak adanya kesadaran tentang personal hygiene. Salah satu penyakit yang sering terjadi adalah penyakit skabies yang disebabkan oleh sarcoptes scabie varmonis, yang banyak ditemukan di pondok pesantren. Tujuan Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan personal hygiene dan penyakit kulit skabies pada santri di pondok pesantren Al – Matiin. Metode Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik komperatif kategorik tidak berpasangan dengan metode studi potong lintang (cross-sectional). Pengambilan data akan dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan diagnosis dokter umum dan dilakukan wawancara mengenai personal hygiene pada santri yang terdiagnosis skabies dan yang tidak dengan minimal sampel 83 responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi penelitian. Hasil Data mengenai personal hygiene pada Santri di Pondok Pesantren Al - Matiin menunjukkan sebagian besar santri berada pada kriteria buruk sebanyak 51 orang (61,4%) dan 32 orang santri berada pada kriteria baik sebanyak 32 orang (38,6%). Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar santri mengalami skabies sebanyak 48 orang (57,8%) dan 35 (42,2%) orang santri tidak mengalami skabies. Pada penelitian ini kejadian skabies pada santri masih cukup tinggi karena personal hygiene santri yang buruk. Simpulan Dari penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara personal hygiene dengan kejadian skabies. Kata kunci: Personal hygiene; Skabies; Pondok Pesantren. Referensi: 50 (2013 – 2021)/ Background A madrasa is a boarding school where students share and live together in a common living space. This kind of setting could ease the spread of diseases, especially skin disease. This could happen when there is no adequate knowledge of personal hygiene. One of the common diseases that could be found in a madrasa is scabies that is caused by sarcoptes scabie varmonis insect. Aim This research aims to find the relation between personal hygiene and scabies skin disease in students at Al-matiin Islamic boarding school. Methods This research is an unpaired categorical comparative analytic study with a cross- sectional study method. Data collection will be carried out by means of a diagnosis by a doctor and interviews regarding personal hygiene for students who are diagnosed with scabies and those who are not with a minimum sample of 83 respondents who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the study. Result The personal hygiene data from this research shows that 51 students of the Al- Matiin have bad personal hygiene (61,4%) and 32 students have good personal hygiene (38,6%), and also, the research shows that 48 students have scabies (57,8%) and 35 students do not have it (42,2%). The prevalence of scabies in this ecosystem is high because of the student’s bad personal hygiene. Conclusion There is a significant relation between scabies disesase and personal hygiene habits.
