Abstract

Latar belakang: Migrain merupakan salah satu jenis nyeri kepala primer yang umum terjadi pada individu. Kecemasan merupakan salah satu faktor yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya migrain. Secara global, prevalensi kecemasan dan migrain pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran yaitu sebesar 33,8% dan 11-40%. Turnover serotonin dapat menyebabkan vasodilatasi pembuluh darah kranial. Tujuan penelitian: Mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat kecemasan dengan nyeri kepala migrain pada mahasiswa Praklinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi potong lintang pada 126 mahasiswa pre-klinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan yang dipilih dengam metode simple random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode Chi-Square. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat kecemasan dengan kejadian nyeri kepala migrain pada mahasiswa praklinik FK-UPH (P-value < 0,001). Prevalensi kecemasan ringan sebesar 42,85%, kecemasan sedang 32,55%, kecemasan berat 24,60% dan prevalensi migrain 26,2%. Kejadian migrain pada responden dengan kecemasan ringan sebesar 1,9%, kecemasan sedang sebesar 22% dan kecemasan berat sebesar 74,2%. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian, dapat diketahui prevalensi migrain meningkat seiring bertambahnya tingkat kecemasan pada mahasiswa praklinik fakultas kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Kata kunci: Tingkat kecemasan, Migrain, Mahasiswa kedokteran/ Background: Migraine is a type of primary headache that is common in many individuals. Anxiety is one of the factors that cause migraine attacks. Globally, anxiety and migraine amongst medical students have a high prevalence of 33.8% and 11-40%. Serotonin turnover can cause vasodilation of cranial blood vessels. Objectives: To find out the relationship between anxiety levels and migraine headaches in pre-clinic medical students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University. Methods: This study uses a cross-sectional design on 126 pre-clinic students from Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University. The sample is selected using simple random sampling and the results are to be analyzed using the Chi-Square. Results: Results of the study shows a significant relationship between anxiety levels and migraine headaches amongst pre-clinic medical students of Pelita Harapan University (P-value < 0.001). The prevalence of mild anxiety is 42.85%, moderate anxiety is 32.55%, severe anxiety is 24.60% and the prevalence of migraine is 26.2%. The incidence of migraine in respondents with mild anxiety is 1.9%, moderate anxiety is 22% and severe anxiety is 74.2%. Conclusion: Based on the results of data analysis in this study, the researcher has come to a conclusion that the prevalence of migraine increases with the increase in anxiety levels in pre-clinic medical students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University.
