Abstract

Latar Belakang: Makanan cepat saji merupakan suatu jenis makanan yang dimasak dan disajikan secara cepat. Pada saat ini, angka konsumsi makanan cepat saji di Indonesia sangat tinggi. Mengkonsumsi makanan cepat saji terlalu sering dapat menimbulkan dampak yang buruk bagi tubuh, salah satunya adalah timbulnya acne vulgaris pada tubuh. Acne vulgaris merupakan suatu kondisi peradangan yang timbul pada seseorang yang ditandai dengan adanya komedo, papul, ataupun pustul pada bagian organ tubuh tertentu seperti bagian punggung dan bagian muka. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan antara makanan cepat saji dengan timbulnya acne vulgaris pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara makanan cepat saji dengan timbulnya acne vulgaris pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Metode: Penelitian ini akan dilakukan menggunakan desain studi observasional analitik komparatif kategorik tidak berpasangan dengan metode cross sectional di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 77 responden. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode simple random sampling. Hasil Penelitian: Hasil penelitian diolah menggunakan analisis Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara makanan cepat saji dengan timbulnya acne vulgaris pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan dengan nilai signifikasinya p = 0.000, OR = 22,313 (95% CI: 5,854-85,043) Kata Kunci: Makanan cepat saji, Acne vulgaris / Background: Fast food is a type of food that is cooked and served quickly. At this time, the consumption of fast food in Indonesia is very high. Consuming fast food can often have a negative impact on the body, one of which is the emergence of acne vulgaris on the body. Acne vulgaris is an inflammatory condition that occurs in a person which is characterized by the presence of blackheads, papules, or pustules on certain body organs such as the back and face. This study was conducted to examine the relationship between fast food and the incidence of acne vulgaris in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pelita Harapan. Aim: To determine the relationship between fast food and and the incidence of acne vulgaris in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pelita Harapan. Method: The study will be done using unpaired categorical comparative analytic observation with cross sectional study at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pelita Harapan. The sample used in this study were 77 respondents. Sampel will be chosen by simple random sampling method. Result: The result will be analyzed with Chi Square. There was a significant relationship between fast food and the incidence of acne vulgaris in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pelita Harapan with a significance value of p = 0.000, OR = 22,313 (95% CI: 5,854-85,043).
