Abstract

Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan di sebuah sekolah dasar ditemukan proses pembelajaran di kelas tidak berjalan dengan baik karena rendahnya motivasi belajar murid di kelas. Guru Kristen sebagai agen rekonsiliasi perlu membangun motivasi murid di dalam belajar supaya proses pembelajaran berlangsung efektif. Keberhasilan murid dalam belajar berasal dari adanya motivasi belajar. Motivasi diartikan sebagai kekuatan seseorang yang menimbulkan kemauan dalam melaksanakan suatu kegiatan. Kemauan dapat bersumber dari dalam diri individu (motivasi intrinsik) maupun dari luar individu (motivasi ekstrinsik). Penggunaan metode tanya jawab merupakan motivasi ekstrinsik yang diupayakan guru dengan harapan dapat membangun motivasi belajar murid kelas 5 sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari penulisan paper ini adalah menjelaskan penyebab menurunnya motivasi belajar murid kelas 5 sekolah dasar pada proses pembelajaran dan menjelaskan langkah metode tanya jawab yang digunakan guru untuk membangun motivasi belajar murid kelas 5 sekolah dasar sehingga pembelajaran dapat berlangsung dengan baik. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian adalah penggunaan metode tanya jawab di kelas dapat membangun motivasi belajar murid. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari keterlibatan semua murid pada proses pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya adalah metode tanya jawab dapat membangun motivasi belajar murid. Saran untuk penulis selanjutnya adalah meneliti penggunaan metode lain untuk membangun motivasi belajar untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. / Based on observations made in an elementary school, it was found that the learning process in class was not going well because of the low motivation of students to learn in class. Christian teachers as agents of reconciliation need to build student motivation in learning so that the learning process takes place effectively. The success of students in learning comes from their motivation to learn. Motivation is defined as a person's strength that creates a will in carrying out an activity. Willingness can come from within the individual (intrinsic motivation) or from outside the individual (extrinsic motivation). The use of the question-and-answer method is an extrinsic motivation that the teacher strives for in the hope of building the learning motivation of grade 5 elementary school students. The purpose of writing this paper is to explain the causes of the decreased learning motivation of grade 5 elementary school students in the learning process and explain the steps of the question-and-answer method used by the teacher to build the learning motivation of grade 5 elementary school students so that learning can take place well. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. The results of the study are that the use of the question-and-answer method in the class can build student learning motivation. This can be seen from the involvement of all students in the learning process. The conclusion is that the question-and-answer method can build student learning motivation. Suggestions for the next writer are to examine the use of other methods to build learning motivation to achieve learning goals.
