Abstract

Keaktifan siswa merupakan hal yang sangat penting agar tujuan dan keberhasilan pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Namun fakta menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas VIII 2 pada salah satu sekolah di Jakarta tidak aktif selama pembelajaran. Adapun upaya yang guru lakukan untuk mendorong keaktifan siswa adalah dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah memaparkan penerapan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dalam mendorong keaktifan siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah siswa mendengarkan penjelasan, menjawab pertanyaan, mengerjakan tugas, mendengarkan pendapat yang diberikan teman, berani menyampaikan pendapat, dan berdiskusi dalam kelompok. Guru menjadi rekan Allah untuk memperlengkapi siswa yang merupakan gambar dan rupa Allah. Siswa dianugerahi akal budi sehingga dapat menjadi pribadi yang aktif dalam pembelajaran. Namun, kejatuhan manusia ke dalam dosa membuat ketidaktaatan kepada Allah. Salah satu ketidaktaatan siswa adalah tidak aktif dalam pembelajaran. Maka guru yang berperan sebagai pemimpin harus menguasai kompetensi pedagogi untuk mendorong keaktifan siswa. Peran guru untuk mendorong keaktifan siswa dapat terlaksana dengan pertolongan Roh Kudus. Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dapat mendorong keaktifan siswa. Saran sebelum guru menerapkan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw adalah melakukan observasi untuk mengetahui kebutuhan siswa, menyesuaikan kondisi belajar, tujuan pembelajaran, dan mempertimbangkan pembagian kelompok kecil./ Students’ activeness is very significant so that the learning objectives and success of the learning can be achieved. However, the facts showed that grade VIII 2 students at one school in Jakarta did not show their activeness during learning. The teacher’s efforts to encouraging students’ activeness are by applying the jigsaw type of cooperative learning strategy. The purpose of this paper is to describe the application of the jigsaw type of cooperative learning strategy in encouraging students’ activeness. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The results obtained are that students listen to the teaching, answer questions, do assignments, listen to opinions given by friends, dare to express opinions, and discuss in groups. The teacher becomes God’s partner to equip students who are the Image and likeness of God. Students are endowed with reason so that they can become active individuals in learning. However, man’s fall into sin resulted in disobedience to God. One of the disobediences is that students are not active in learning. Thus, the teacher who acts as a leader must comprehent the pedagogy competencies to encourage students’ activeness. The role of the teacher to encourage students’ activeness can be carried out with the help of the Holy Spirit. The author concludes that the application of the jigsaw type of cooperative learning strategy can encourage students’ activeness. Suggestions before the teacher applies the jigsaw type cooperative learning strategy in encouraging students’ activeness, are to do the observations and determine student needs, adjust conditions, learning objectives, and consider dividing into small groups.
