Abstract

Autisme spectrum disorder (ASD) adalah kelainan genetik pada perkembangan sistem saraf yang biasanya terdapat gangguan pada tiga bidang yaitu komunikasi sosial, perilaku berulang dan restriktif, dan perkembangan dan penggunaan kata yang menyimpang. Menurut WHO, 1 di antara 160 anak mempunyai ASD, tetapi jumlahnya tidak diketahui pada negara miskin dan berkembang. Pengetahuan autisme penting karena dapat mendiagnosis pasien dengan autisme dan memberikan intervensi seawal mungkin. Pengetahuan tentang autisme juga diperlukan untuk menghilangkan mitos atau prasangka terhadap autisme yang ada pada orang-orang. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan studi potong lintang terhadap 340 responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Responden kemudian mengisi kuesioner KCAHW dan SATA Data kemudian diolah menggunakan SPSS dan diuji menggunakan Fisher’s Exact. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan kesadaran dengan nilai p = 0.364. Terdapat 40 (11,8%) orang dengan tingkat pengetahuan rendah, 181 (60,1%) dengan tingkat pengetahuan sedang, dan 119 (35%) dengan tingkat pengetahuan tinggi. Rata-rata skor keseluruhan adalah 10,5 dengan skor maksimum 18 dan skor minimum 0. Total subjek dengan sikap positif berjumlah 82 (29,4%) orang dan sikap sangat positif berjumlah 258 (75,9%) orang. Rata-rata skor keseluruhan adalah 49,3 dengan skor maksimum 64 dan skor minimum 31. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah subjek mempunyai tingkat pengetahuan sedang tetapi memiliki sikap yang positif sehingga tingkat pengetahuan terhadap ASD tidak mempunyai hubungan terhadap sikap terhadap ASD pada mahasiswa FK UPH. / Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a genetic disorder on neurodevelopment which manifests as deficit in social communication, restrictive and repetitive behavior, and problems in language development and usage. According to WHO, 1 in 160 children has ASD, but the numbers are unknown at poor and developing country. Knowledge on autism is important because it allows diagnosing of autism and able to give early intervention. Knowledge on autism is also important to be able to dispel myths and stigma against autism in society. Research is done using cross sectional method on 340 respondents that passes the inclusion criteria. Respondents then fills KCAHW and SATA questionnaire. Data then is processed using SPSS dan tested by using Fisher’s Exact. Results of this research shows that there is no significant correlation from knowledge and attitude with the p value of 0.364. there are 40 (11,8%) subjects with low knowledge, 181 (60,1%) subjects with medium knowledge, and 119 (35%) subjects with high knowledge. The mean score is 10,5 with maximum score of 18 and minimum score of 0. There are 82 (29,4%) subjects with positive attitude orang and 258 (75,9%) subjects with very positive attitude. The mean score is 49,3 with maximum score of 64 dan minimum score of 31. Conclusion of this research is subjects have low knowledge but has positive attitude which shows that knowledge of ASD doesn’t affect attitude towards ASD on FK UPH college students
