Abstract

Pariwisata termasuk sektor yang paling penting dalam pembangunan perekonomian suatu negara karena pariwisata menjadi penyumbang devisa negara, baik itu negara berkembang maupun negara maju. Dibandingkan dengan negara-negara ASEAN lainya, Indonesia memiliki potensi pengembangan pariwisata yang paling banyak. ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) membentuk gagasan-gagasan untuk mempromosikan pariwisata negara-negara kawasan, termasuk Indonesia. Adanya ATF diharapkan memberi dampak positif bagi kemajuan pariwisata Indonesia dalam meningkatkan standar pariwisata, meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara, menambah devisa negara, serta membuka lapangan kerja baru. Meskipun demikian, Indonesia masih tertinggal di bawah Thailand, Singapura, dan Malaysia dalam hal prasarana penunjang pariwisata. Kondisi ini mempengaruhi kunjungan wisatawan asing ke Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana peran dari ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) dalam mempromosikan Pariwisata Indonesia Pada Tahun 2016-2021, serta menganalisis dampak dari peran ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) dalam mempromosikan pariwisata Indonesia melalui berbagai program yang telah mereka lakukan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah liberal institusionalisme dan didukung oleh konsep kerja sama internasional, pariwisata, globalisasi dan konsep kepentingan nasional. Berdasarkan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dan melakukan t tekniki analisisi data ikualitatif dengan ianalisis naratif dalam menjelaskan peran serta dampak dari ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) dalam mempromosikan Pariwisata di Indonesia. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa upaya promosi ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) dalam mempromosikan pariwisata di Indonesia telah terlihat dalam bentuk terus meningkatnya kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara. Indonesia juga memanfaatkan keanggotaannya dalam ATF sehingga pada tahun 2016-2021, beberapa dampak positif yang sudah didapatkan oleh Indonesia adalah peningkatan jumlah wisatawan serta peningkatan devisa negara./Tourism is one of the most important sectors in a country's economic development because tourism is a major contributor to foreign exchange, both developing and developed countries. Compared to other ASEAN countries, Indonesia has the most tourism development potential. The ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) forms ideas to promote tourism in regional countries, including Indonesia. The existence of ATF is expected to have a positive impact on the progress of Indonesian tourism in increasing tourism standards, increasing foreign tourist visits, increasing the country's foreign exchange, and opening new jobs. Nonetheless, Indonesia still lags behind Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia in terms of infrastructure supporting tourism. This condition affects the visit of foreign tourists to Indonesia. This study aims to examine the role of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) in promoting Indonesian Tourism in 2016-2021, as well as analyze the impact of the role of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) in promoting Indonesian tourism through the various programs they have carried out. The theory used in this study is liberal institutionalism and is supported by the concepts of international cooperation, tourism, globalization and the concept of national interest. Based on secondary data obtained through library research, the authors used descriptive research methods and conducted qualitative data analysis techniques with narrative analysis in explaining the role and impact of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) in promoting tourism in Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that efforts to promote the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) in promoting tourism in Indonesia have been seen in the form of continuing increase in foreign tourist arrivals. Indonesia also takes advantage of its membership in the ATF so that in 2016-2021, some of the positive impacts that have been obtained by Indonesia are an increase in the number of tourists and an increase in the country's foreign exchange.
