Abstract

Sebuah material mengalami proses produksi yang panjang dan menghasilkan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi dampak negatif produksi material terhadap lingkungan adalah dengan menerapkan konsep berkelanjutan. Konsep berkelanjutan berbicara mengenai keseimbangan antara sumber daya alam dengan pemenuhan kebutuhan manusia yang semakin meningkat. Studi kasus SDN 83 Kemang Manis dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah material yang digunakan masuk ke dalam kriteria material berkelanjutan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode studi kasus dan menggunakan parameter enam prinsip berkelanjutan Nirmal Kishnani. Hasil penelitian material SDN 83 Kemang Manis yang dianalisis melalui parameter enam prinsip berkelanjutan Nirmal Kishnani akan menunjukkan tercapai atau tidaknya enam prinsip berkelanjutan pada material perancangan SDN 83 Kemang Manis, dan apakah material yang digunakan pada perancangan berkelanjutan, memiliki potensi untuk menjadi berkelanjutan, atau tidak berkelanjutan. Selain itu hasil penelitian akan memperlihatkan relasi antar enam prinsip berkelanjutan Nirmal Kishnani. / A material undergoes a long production process and produces a negative impact on the environment. One of the solutions to overcome the negative impact of material production on the environment is to apply a sustainable concept. The concept of sustainability talks about the balance between natural resources and the fulfilment of increasing human needs. The case study of SDN 83 Kemang Manis was conducted to find out whether the material used met the criteria for sustainable materials. The research was conducted using the case study method and using the parameters of Nirmal Kishnani's six sustainable principles. The results of research on materials in the design of SDN 83 Kemang Manis, analysed through the parameters of Nirmal Kishnani's six principles of sustainability will show whether or not the six principles of sustainability have been achieved in materials in the design of SDN 83 Kemang Manis, and whether the material used in the design is sustainable, has the potential to be sustainable, or not sustainable. In addition, the research results will show the relationship between Nirmal Kishnani's six sustainable principles.
