Abstract

Seperti yang diketahui, sekolah merupakan tempat kegiatan belajar mengajar mengenai ilmu pengetahuan, seni, hingga moral. Salah satu hal yang terikat kuat dengan hal tersebut adalah konsentrasi. Konsentrasi dibutuhkan oleh pelajar agar dapat mempelajari dan memahami apa yang diajarkan agar waktu yang dihabiskan di sekolah tidak sia-sia. Suhu, kelembapan, suara, dan pencahayaan adalah beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan karena akan mempengaruhi kenyamanan yang berdampak pada konsentrasi pelajar. Sayangnya, hal tersebut kerap dilewatkan sehingga membuat sebuah kelas menjadi tidak nyaman sebagai tempat kegiatan belajar mengajar. Sekolah yang menjadi tempat penelitian adalah SMP PL Santo Albertus Ketapang yang berlokasi di Ketapang, Kalimantan Barat. Penelitian yang dilakukan tentunya akan fokus dan dimulai dari permasalahan interior sekolah existing-nya. Selain itu, sejak pandemi Covid-19 kualitas udara menjadi hal yang sangat diperhatikan, sehingga sirkulasi udara dalam kelas harus baik agar bisa mendapatkan kualitas udara yang baik juga. Melalui penelitian, penulis akan menemukan beberapa permasalahan yang ada terutama pada ruangan yang akan sering digunakan oleh pelajar untuk belajar dan kemudian menawarkan solusi untuk menjawab permasalahan yang ditemukan melalui perancangan interior sekolah tersebut. Perancangan sekolah akan menggunakan pendekatan green design yang diharapkan dapat mengurangi dampak negatif bagi lingkungan dari segi desain interior, penggunaan material, dan fungsi dari bangunannya. / As known, school is a place for teaching and learning activities regarding science, art, and morals are done. Concentration is one thing that is closely related to it. Concentration needed by students in order to learn and understand what they were taught in order to make the most of their school time. Some things that are important to pay attention are temperature, humidity, noise, and lighting because they will affect students’ comfort, which will affect their concentration. Unfortunately, those things are often being ignored, which make a class an uncomfortable setting for teaching and learning activities. SMP PL Santo Albertus Ketapang, which is located in Ketapang, West Borneo, served as the research site. This research will begin and focused on the issues that occurred in the interior of the existing school. In addition, air quality has become a major concern since the Covid-19 pandemic, thus a good air circulation in a classroom is necessary to ensure good quality air. From the research, the writer will find some of the issues, especially in some of the rooms that are often used by the students to study, and will then provide solutions to address some of those issues that are found in the school interior design. The school design will use the green design as an approach, which is anticipated to lessen the negative affects towards the environment in term of the interior design, material consumption, and building functionality.
