Abstract

In the age where many countries are further looking into alternative energy, one of the topics that are mostly discussed regards to transportation. With a new emerging market in the space of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, many companies are looking into coming into the market and Tesla being the pioneer towards this action. What was first a niche demand within the global market, has taken storm with many international organizations backing its growth. With this, the theory that is used within this research heavily implies the theory of Neoliberalism which looks upon the collective outcomes of both parties. The approach taken for this research is through a qualitative research method and historical-comparative research. The cooperation of host-countries and Tesla has certainly taken an effect on how they were able to operate and create their own ecosystem of development through the help of governmental support. With international agreements being made to push the global agenda of electrification to new heights in order to address the issue of climate change, the marketing of electric vehicles towards the public are pushed with the support of policies that can benefit users of electric vehicles to become the new standard for the future. Looking through the light of this, capitalizing upon this evolution of change can certainly bring the most out of a company such as Tesla. And with this, it can be projected that Tesla’s results within rapid growth are promising. / Di zaman dimana banyak negara semakin melirik kepada energi alternatif, salah satu topik yang banyak dibicarakan adalah transportasi. Dengan pasar baru yang muncul di bidang kendaraan listrik dan hybrid plug-in, banyak perusahaan yang ingin masuk ke dalam pasarnya dan Tesla menjadi salah satu pelopornya. Yang bermula sebagai pasar dengan permintaan ceruk dalam pasar global, telah digemparkan dengan banyak organisasi internasional yang mendukung pertumbuhannya. Dengan demikian, teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sangat mengimplikasikan teori Neoliberalisme yang memandang hasil kolektif kedua belah pihak. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui metode penelitian kualitatif dan penelitian historis-komparatif. Kerja sama negara tuan rumah dan Tesla tentu berdampak pada bagaimana mereka dapat beroperasi dan menciptakan ekosistem pembangunan mereka sendiri melalui bantuan dukungan pemerintah. Dengan kesepakatan internasional yang dibuat untuk mendorong agenda global elektrifikasi ke level baru guna mengatasi isu perubahan iklim, pemasaran kendaraan listrik ke masyarakat didorong dengan dukungan kebijakan yang dapat menguntungkan pengguna kendaraan listrik menjadi standar baru untuk masa depan. Melihat dari sudut pandang ini, memanfaatkan evolusi perubahan ini pasti dapat menghasilkan hasil maksimal dari perusahaan seperti Tesla. Dan dengan ini, dapat diproyeksikan bahwa hasil Tesla dalam pertumbuhan pesat sangat menjanjikan.
