Abstract
Technology advancement causes convenience in various activities, one of which is investment. Investment itself is a popular activity among the public now, one of the most popular investments itself is gold investment. However, due to the development of technology, many illegal investments have sprung up. This has caused many problems for the citizen and also the government. This research shall be done with a normative legal research and qualitative approach. As for the data used would be secondary data. Regulations regarding gold investment itself has already regulated a trading mechanism that is quite clear, but in terms of handling the aftermath of illegal investment is still unclear. As the illegal investment cases continues to arise and more people are losing their money in it, there has not yet been a clear mechanism of how the victim can get their money back. There is also no clear mechanism on how to know a consumer loss in illegal investment.
