Abstract

Sepanjang tahun 2021 PT. Garuda Indonesia (GIA) melakukan langkah-langkah perbaikan atau restrukturisasi bisnis untuk bangkit, baik akibat pandemi maupun karena tata kelola perusahaan yang kurang prudent di masa lampau. Sebagai salah satu upaya untuk bangkit dari keterpurukan, Garuda Indonesia menata ulang pelayanannya lewat penyelenggaraan angkutan haji tahun 2022. Dalam konteks ini Garuda Indonesia membutuhkan awak kabin sebagai garda depan pelayanan guna mendukung pelaksanaan angkutan haji 2022. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh iklim komunikasi organisasi terhadap motivasi kerja awak kabin pada penerbangan haji 2022 PT. Garuda Indonesia. Konsep iklim komunikasi organisasi digunakan untuk mengukur persepsi anggota mengenai pesan-pesan dan peristiwa di dalam organisasi. Penelitian ini menjelaskan betapa pentingnya iklim komunikasi organisasi untuk memahami persepsi anggota yang dapat membentuk motivasi karyawan lebih baik. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 327 awak kabin penerbangan haji, dan pengambilan sampling menggunakan Rumus Slovin dengan teknik probability sampling sehingga didapat 76 orang awak kabin sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan iklim komunikasi organisasi PT. GIA memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja awak kabin pada penerbangan haji 2022./ In 2021 PT. Garuda Indonesia (GIA) was restructuring its business. This step is aimed to recover GIA’s business from pandemic and poor implementation of good corporate governance. As one of the efforts, Garuda Indonesia rearrange its service through hajj flight in 2022. In this context, Garuda Indonesia needs cabin crew as company’s front liner to support hajj flight. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of organizational communication climate towards motivation of cabin crew during hajj flight 2022. The concept of organizational communication climate is used to measure employee’s perception of messages and events within the organization. This study explains the importance of organizational communication climate and its impact to understand perceptions of employee which can shape their motivation better. The research population consisted of 327 cabin crew of hajj flight, and the sample was taken using the Slovin Formula with a probability sampling technique so that 76 cabin crew were obtained as samples. The result of the study shows that organizational communication climate of PT. Garuda Indonesia has significant effect towards the motivation of cabin crew during Hajj flights 2022.
