Abstract

Istilah “Citayam Fashion Week” telah dikenal luas oleh masyarakat. Sejak adanya unggahan mengenai hal ini di media sosial beberapa waktu lalu, fenomena ini sontak menarik perhatian khalayak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pandangan masyarakat terhadap Fenomena Citayam Fashion Week menggunakan teori Interaksionisme Simbolik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi naratif. Data primer dilakukan dengan cara wawancara mendalam sementara data sekunder didapatkan dengan cara observasi dilakukan terhadap media sosial dan media online Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah fenomena Citayam Fashion Week dapat menjadi suatu fenomena yang viral hingga mendunia karena sebagian besar di pengaruhi oleh peran media dan keunikan yang di tonjolkan oleh para remaja Generasi Z. Fenomena ini bermula dari sekumpulan anak-anak remaja Generasi-Z yang berkegiatan di kawasan pusat kota Sudirman dengan menggunakan outfit yang nyentrik dan mencolok dan melakukan aktifitas random dikawasan tersebut seperti menongkrong, bergaya seperti model hingga membuat konten untuk kepentingan media sosial. Pro dan kontra pun muncul dan membuat fenomena ini semakin menarik dengan keterlibatan berbagai elemen masyarakat bahkan hingga para selebriti dan pejabat pemerintahan. Kurangnya dukungan dari tokoh pemerintahan membuat fenomena ini tidak bertahan lama. / The term "Citayam Fashion Week" has been widely known by the public. Since there was an upload about this on social media some time ago, this phenomenon suddenly attracted the attention of the public. This study aims to determine the public's view of the Citayam Fashion Week Phenomenon using the theory of Symbolic Interactionism. This research is a qualitative research using narrative study method. Primary data was conducted by means of in-depth interviews while secondary data was obtained by means of observations made on social media and online media. highlighted by Generation Z youth. This phenomenon originated with a group of Generation-Z teenagers who were active in the downtown area of Sudirman by wearing quirky and flashy outfits and carrying out random activities in the area such as hanging out, acting like models to creating content for the benefit of social media. Pros and cons emerged and made this phenomenon even more interesting with the involvement of various elements of society, even celebrities and government officials. Lack of support from government figures made this phenomenon not last long.
