Abstract

Keluarga merupakan ruang tumbuh pertama bagi individu dalam bersosialisasi dan membangun sebuah hubungan antarpribadi. Membangun hubungan antarpribadi yang positif memerlukan komunikasi dan interaksi secara konstan antara anak dan orangtua. Komunikasi yang konstan berguna untuk menghindari konflik yang berujung pada perceraian dalam sebuah keluarga. Perceraian memiliki efek negatif bagi anak seperti kesulitan berkomitmen, dan munculnya ketidakpercayaan terhadap pernikahan. Sedangkan interaksi akan membentuk pengalaman yang dapat membentuk makna tergantung dari sudut pandang setiap individu. Seorang individu yang memiliki orang tua tunggal dari kecil hingga dewasa akan memiliki makna keluarga yang berbeda dibandingkan individu lain yang memiliki keluarga lengkap dan harmonis. Penelitian ini ingin mendeskripsikan bagaimana individu yang telah menikah memaknai sebuah keluarga dari pengalaman perceraian orang tuanya. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode fenomenologi melalui wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan alasan perceraian terjadi karena faktor ekonomi, komunikasi, dan kurangnya dukungan emosional. Pengalaman tersebut membawa makna bahwa keluarga sebagai tempat pelarian sekaligus langkah membangun keluarga yang ideal, dan tempat untuk setiap individu menjadi pemutus rantai. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat menggali lebih dalam dari sudut pandang berbeda seperti faktor ekonomi serta narasumber yang berbeda sehingga dapat membentuk pandangan baru./The family is the first growing space for individuals to socialize and build interpersonal relationships. Building positive interpersonal relationships requires constant communication and interaction between children and parents. Constant communication is useful to avoid conflicts that lead to divorce in a family. Divorce has negative effects on children, such as difficulty in making a commitment, and the emergence of distrust of marriage. Meanwhile, interaction will form experiences that can form meaning depending on the point of view of each individual. An individual who has a single parent from childhood to adulthood will have a different family meaning than other individuals who have a complete and harmonious family. This study wants to describe how married individuals interpret a family from the experience of their parents' divorce. Researchers used a descriptive qualitative approach with phenomenological methods through in-depth interviews. The results showed that the reasons for divorce occurred due to economic factors, communication, and lack of emotional support. This experience conveys the meaning that the family is a place of escape as well as a step to build an ideal family, and a place for each individual to become a chain breaker. Future research is expected to be able to dig deeper from different perspectives such as economic factors and different sources to form new views.
