Abstract

Strategi komunikasi politik ialah sebuah proses dalam membentuk sikap ataupun perilaku politik yang melibatkan aktor politik maupun pesan politik yang dileburkan dalam sebuah sistem politik. Ini seringkali dianggap menjadi sebuah pendekatan oleh individu atau kelompok ketika berusaha untuk mencari suara pada saat pemilihan umum. Namun hal lain akan berbeda ketika strategi ini digunakan oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia ketika dihadapi oleh krisis pandemi Covid-19. Dinamika kondisi yang begitu cair dan seringkali berubah karena faktor kesehatan dan ekonomi, membuat Presiden Joko Widodo selama masa 2020-2021 perlu menyusun strategi komunikasi politik guna memastikan bahwa seluruh kebijakan yang ia ambil dapat diterima tidak hanya oleh masyarakat, tetapi juga oleh lawan politiknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Sumber data primer penelitian akan berdasarkan oleh informan yang merupakan bagian dari tim komunikasi Presiden dan informan lainnya yang berasal dari masyarakat sipil. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan informan, peneliti menemukan hasil lain bahwa strategi komunikasi politik Presiden juga didasarkan oleh beberapa pendekatan lain seperti gaya kepemimpinan, manajemen krisis, dan peranan media massa. / Political communication strategy is a process in shaping political attitudes or behaviors that involve political actors and political messages conveyed in a political system. It is often considered as an approach by individuals or groups when trying to gain support during general elections. However, it is different when this strategy is used by the President of the Republic of Indonesia when faced with the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. The dynamic and often changing conditions due to health and economic factors, made President Joko Widodo in 2020-2021 need to develop a political communication strategy to ensure that all policies taken can be accepted not only by the public but also by his political opponents. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study research method. The primary data source for research will be based on informants who are part of the President's communication team and other informants from the civil society. Based on interviews with informants, the researcher found that the President's political communication strategy is also based on other approaches such as leadership style, crisis management, and the role of mass media.
