Abstract

Internet dan media sosial memberikan sumbangsih yang besar dalam membangun kesadaran masyarakat terkait isu kesehatan mental. Namun sayangnya, maraknya konten mengenai isu kesehatan mental tidak selalu memberikan dampak positif terhadap masyarakat. Kekeliruan dalam menampilkan gambaran mengenai isu kesehatan mental dapat merubah perspektif masyarakat mengenai isu kesehatan mental itu sendiri. Usia muda lebih rentan mengalami perubahan perspektif mengenai kesehatan mental dan paling sering dihadapkan dengan berbagai media yang ada. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi mengenai gambaran perspektif individu emerging adulthood terhadap penyakit mental secara umum di masa kini dengan metode kualitatif. Wawancara dilakukan kepada 5 partisipan dengan metode focus group discussion. / The internet and social media have made a major contribution in building public awareness regarding mental health issues. But unfortunately, the abundance of content on mental health issues does not always have a positive impact on society. Mistakes in presenting an image of mental health issues can change people's perspectives on mental health issues. Young age is more vulnerable to changing perspectives regarding mental health and most often dealing with various existing media. This research examines the perspectives of emerging adulthood towards mental illness in general using qualitative methods. Interviews were conducted with 5 participants using the focus group discussion method.
