Abstract

Penelitian dalam skripsi ini dilator belakangi oleh fenomena museum yang semakin lama semakin menurun tingkat minatnya, dan pengusungan tema reptil dalam skripsi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya edukasi tentang satwa reptile, dan untuk menghilangkan stigma mengenai satwa reptile yang menakutkan. Rumusan masalah dalam penulisan skripsi ini adalah (1) Bagaimana menggabungkan fasilitas indoor dan outdoor kedalam perancangan Reptil Center di Tangerang (2) Bagaimana merancang interior Reptile Center yang dapat menjadi sarana edukasi, informasi, dan rekreasi bagi masyarakat sekitar? dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi pengambilan data dengan cara melakukan observasi lapangan sebagai data primer dan menggunakan metode wawancara narasumber sebagai data pendukung. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) perancangan program ruang dari reptile center belum memadai mengacu kepada lokasi yang ditentukan (2) perancangan interior reptil center berhasil dalam menjadi sarana edukasi, informasi, dan rekreasi, didukung oleh feedback dari para narasumber. /The research in this thesis is motivated by the phenomenon of museums which are increasingly decreasing the level of interest, and the promotion of the reptile theme in this thesis is motivated by the lack of education about reptiles, and to eliminate the stigma regarding scary reptiles. The formulation of the problems in writing this thesis are (1) How to combine indoor and outdoor facilities into the design of a Reptile Center in Tangerang (2) How to design a Reptile Center interior that can be a means of education, information and recreation for the surrounding community? in this study using data collection methodology by conducting field observations as primary data and using interviews with informants as supporting data. The results of this study indicate that (1) the design of the reptile center's space program is inadequate according to the specified location (2) the interior design of the reptile center is successful in becoming a means of education, information, and recreation, supported by feedback from the informants.
