Abstract
Considering that Indonesia is an island nation and most of it consisting of water. So, the water products of Indonesia especially fish cannot be separated from Indonesia. It is not surprising that many Indonesians depends on fish as their source of everyday living. The community service team will conduct research about innovating the floss which is made from fish as the main ingredient. Catfish (lele) is a freshwater fish that has a high potential for breeding in Indonesia due to its potential for economic development. From this, we conduct this research to create a floss (abon) made from fish. To determine the suitable fish for the process is by testing it in the making of fish floss. The Kampung Sawah Village is in North Jakarta, which is near the water, therefore the community service team will hold a training activity of making floss which is based on fish as the main ingredient, organized by the Tourism Faculty of Universitas Pelita Harapan as a form of community service and fulfillment as one of the requirements for graduation of the 2019 academic year. The residents of Kampung Sawah village will learn how to innovate fish and turn it into fish floss. The community service team will provide cooking demonstrations to add knowledge so the community can come up with a product idea to sell on the market. / Mengingat Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan dan sebagian besar terdiri dari perairan.Jadi, hasil perairan Indonesia khususnya ikan tidak bisa dipisahkan dari Indonesia.Tak heran jika banyak masyarakat Indonesia yang menggantungkan hidupnya pada ikan sebagai sumber kehidupan sehari-hari hidup. Tim pengabdian masyarakat akan melakukan penelitian tentang inovasi abon yang terbuat dari ikan sebagai bahan utamanya. Ikan lele merupakan ikan air tawar yang memiliki potensi penangkaran yang tinggi di Indonesia karena potensinya untuk pengembangan ekonomi. Dari hal tersebut, kami melakukan penelitian ini untuk membuat abon berbahan dasar ikan. Untuk menentukan ikan yang cocok dalam proses tersebut adalah dengan mengujinya dalam pembuatan abon ikan. Kampung Sawah terletak di Jakarta Utara. Tim pengabdian masyarakat akan mengadakan kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan abon yang berbahan dasar ikan sebagai bahan utama yang diselenggarakan oleh Fakultas Pariwisata Universitas Pelita Harapan sebagai bentuk pengabdian dan pemenuhan masyarakat sebagai salah satu syarat untuk kelulusan tahun ajaran 2019. Warga desa Kampung Sawah akan belajar bagaimana berinovasi ikan dan mengubahnya menjadi abon ikan. Tim pengabdian masyarakat akan memberikan demo memasak untuk menambah pengetahuan agar masyarakat bisa ikut bangkit dengan ide produk untuk dijual ke pasar.
