Abstract

People with diabetes need to continue to monitor blood sugar levels and maintain a healthy lifestyle on a regular basis. A system that can present and provide analysis of blood sugar data will play an important role in the stability of blood sugar levels. Therefore, digital applications are needed to help people with diabetes achieve this easily and flexibly. Flexibility will be easier to achieve if the application is implemented in everyday devices such as mobile devices. Diabetbuddy is a mobile-based application designed to help users record and monitor blood sugar levels in detail. In addition, Diabetbuddy also provides expert system services with rule-based reasoning method to help users analyse the reasons for fluctuations in blood sugar levels and guides for maintaining stable blood sugar levels. This application involves an Application Programming Interface (API) as well as a database to store and manage user data. The implementation of the application system design is tested using the scenario testing method which involves the main and supporting features in the application. Based on the test results of the 8 specified scenarios, all the designed features have been running well with the display and data presentation in accordance with the initial design. In addition, direct trials were also conducted on 6 respondents with diabetes to ensure the application system runs smoothly in various real-world cases. The 6 respondents have gotten several recommendation based on their glucose level and glucose influence factors. Therefore, the designed application system has succeeded in meeting the need for monitoring and supporting of diabetes in patients. / Pengidap diabetes perlu terus memantau kadar gula darah dan menjaga pola hidup sehat secara teratur. Sebuah sistem yang dapat menyajikan dan memberikan analisis data gula darah akan berperan penting dalam kestabilan level gula darah. Maka dari itu, aplikasi digital sangat diperlukan untuk membantu pernderita diabetes mencapai hal tersebut secara mudah dan fleksibel. Fleksibilitas akan lebih mudah untuk dicapai jika aplikasi tersebut diterapkan pada perangkat sehari-hari seperti perangkat seluler. Diabetbuddy adalah sebuah aplikasi berbasis seluler yang didesin untuk membantu pengguna mencatat dan memantau kadar gula darah secara rinci. Selain itu, Diabetbuddy juga menyediakan layanan sistem pakar dengan metode rule-based reasoning untuk membantu pengguna menganalisa alasan fluktuasi kadar gula darah dan juga himbauan menjaga kestabilan kadar gula darah. Aplikasi ini melibatkan Application Programming Interface (API) dan juga database untuk menyimpan dan mengelola data pengguna. Implementasi rancangan sistem aplikasi diuji menggunakan metode uji skenario yang melibatkan fitur utama dan pendukung dalam aplikasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dari 8 skenario yang ditentukan, seluruh fitur yang dirancangkan telah berjalan dengan baik dengan tampilan dan data sajian yang sesuai dengan rancangan awal. Sebagai tambahan, dilakukan juga uji coba langsung pada 6 orang responden pengidap diabetes untuk memastikan sistem aplikasi berjalan lancar pada berbagai kasus didunia nyata. Sebagai hasil, para 6 responden tersebut telah mendapatkan beberapa rekomendasi berdasarkan kadar glukosa dan faktor yang mempengaruhi. Maka dari itu, sistem aplikasi yang dirancang telah berhasil memenuhi kebutuhan akan pemantauan dan perawatan penyakit diabetes pada pasien.
