Christianity's influence in the universal declaration of human rights article 18.

Abstract
This research posits and concludes that the values of Christianity play a role in the making of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights that was published as the “worldwide Magna Carta” in 10 December, 1948, specifically centered around Article 18 about religious freedom. It first presents the argument that Christianity faith initiate the ideation of human rights through its ancient and historical roots that are systematically presented in this paper, from Caesar Augustine to Martin Luther to subsequently, Eleanor Roosevelt, a major figure in the birth of the UDHR. With that being said, this research also argues that with Eleanor Roosevelt’s faith, it became one of the influences of the drafting of the document. From a constructivist angle, it is proven that the essence of it all is based off the fact that the international system and everything in it, are socially constructed, and that mankind are social being that heavily based off by their own norms, identity, belief, and rules, which influenced their decision-making; and thus, so is the UDHR. / Penelitian ini berpendapat dan menyimpulkan bahwa nilai-nilai agama Kristen berperan dalam pembuatan Deklarasi Universal Hak Asasi Manusia yang diterbitkan sebagai universal “Magna Carta” pada 10 Desember 1948, khususnya berpusat pada Pasal 18 tentang kebebasan beragama. Pertama, penelitian ini menyajikan argumen bahwa ke-Kristenan memprakarsai gagasan hak asasi manusia melalui akar kuno dan sejarahnya yang disajikan secara sistematis dalam makalah ini, dari Caesar Augustine hingga Martin Luther hingga selanjutnya, Eleanor Roosevelt, tokoh utama dalam kelahiran DUHAM. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini juga berpendapat bahwa keyakinan Eleanor Roosevelt menjadi salah satu pengaruh dalam penyusunan dokumen tersebut. Dari sudut konstruktivis, terbukti bahwa esensi dari semua itu didasarkan pada fakta bahwa sistem internasional dan segala isinya, dikonstruksi secara social [socially constructed], dan bahwa manusia adalah makhluk sosial yang sangat didasarkan pada norma, identitas, kepercayaan mereka sendiri, dan aturan yang memengaruhi pengambilan keputusan mereka; dan dengan demikian, begitu juga dengan DUHAM.
