Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan di suatu kawasan pabrik di mana terdapat satu proses pembakaran sebagai bagian dari pekerjaan yang ada di dalamnya. Proses pembakaran dalam kapasitas besar yang dilakukan di sana menimbulkan polusi yang kasat mata dan dapat dirasakan orang di sekitarnya terutama bagi karyawan yang bekerja dalam ruangan di dalam kawasan pabrik tersebut. Kondisi terbukanya ruangan karena faktor karyawan yang akan keluar dan masuk ke dalam ruangan, yang secara bersamaan dengan proses produksi dari pabrik pembakaran limbah tsb. menyebabkan polusi yang dihasilkan akan masuk ke dalam ruangan bersama dengan hawa panasnya. Karena itu ruang kantor di lokasi memerlukan sistem pembersih yang dapat mengeluarkan polusi asap dan hawa panas agar membuat pekerja di dalam kantor tersebut menjadi tidak terganggu terhadap polusi yang dihasilkan. Dalam penelitian ini dirancang dan dibuatkan sistem pembersih udara berpolusi asap dan udara panas dengan bantuan mikrokontroller pada area PT XYZ. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan intensitas nilai dalam tampilan serial monitor Arduino IDE yang dibaca sensor asap dengan dipengaruhi oleh lamanya waktu asap untuk memasuki ruangan, sehingga didapatkan bahwa semakin lamanya asap memasuki ruangan dan tanpa adanya pembersih udara maka semakin besar nilai tahanan yang akan dibaca oleh sensor asap. Nilai pembacaan sensor asap yang ditampilkan dalam serial monitor memiliki rentang nilai 2 – 130 a.u. (arbitrary units) yang dicatat dalam waktu 5 menit untuk eksperimen pembacaan asap dengan sensor. Sistem pembersih udara berfungsi pada setiap threshold yang diimplementasikan untuk masing – masing mode pada proses pengeluaran asap yang memasuki ruangan model./PT XYZ is a company in a factory area where there is a burning process as part of the work in it. The large capacity burning process carried out there causes visible pollution and can be felt by people around it, especially for employees who work indoors in the factory area. The condition of the polluted air entering the room is due to the mobility of employees who need to go in and out of the room, which happen together with the production process of the waste incineration plant. This causes the resulting pollution to enter the room along with the heat. Therefore, the office space at the location requires a circulation system that can exhaust smoke and hot polluted air so that the workers in the office are not disturbed by the pollution generated. In this research, an air circulation system is designed and made with the help of a microcontroller in the PT XYZ area. The results obtained indicate the intensity of the value in the Arduino IDE serial monitor display by reading the smoke sensor and is influenced by the length of time the smoke entering the room, It is found that the longer the smoke entering the room and without of air circulation, the greater the resistance value that will be read by the smoke sensor. The smoke sensor reading value displayed in the serial monitor has a value range of 2 – 130 a.u. (arbitrary units) which is recorded for every 5 minutes for the smoke reading experiment with the sensor. The air cleaning system was functioning and reacting well to each threshold implemented for each mode to exhaust smoke entering the model room.
