Abstract

Hasil belajar kognitif merupakan salah satu elemen pembelajaran yang penting untuk menentukan tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran pada setiap pembelajaran. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya hasil belajar kognitif pada pelajaran matematika topik pengurangan soal cerita. Hal ini berdasarkan hasil kerja siswa tidak mencapai KKM yang telah ditentukan dan keberhasilan kelas yang didapatkan hanya 39,28%. Masalah tersebut dikarenakan siswa kurang berlatih mengerjakan soal-soal matematika, sehingga siswa kurang teliti saat menghitung pengurangan. Peneliti menerapkan metode drill untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada pelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model penelitian pelton, yang terdiri dari lima tahapan penelitian. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 19 Agustus 2018 – 21 September 2018 di salah satu Kelas I Sekolah Dasar Kristen di Ambon. Instrument yang digunakan adalah RPP, lembar umpan balik, lembar tes siswa dan jurnal refleksi. Setiap Instrumen dianalisis secara deskriptif dan perhitungan matematika sederhana. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan persentase kelulusan siswa pada penerapan pertama mencapai 89,28% dan meningkat hingga 100% pada penerapan kedua. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode drill dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa kelas I Sekolah Dasar Kristen di Ambon pelajaran matematika dengan topik pengurangan soal cerita. /The cognitive learning outcome is one of the important learning elements to determine the success of learning objectives in every learning process. The problem found is about the low cognitive learning outcomes in math subtraction word problems. It is seen from students’ learning outcomes that could not achieve or fulfill the defined Minimum Criteria Mastery and the success of the class obtained is only 39,28%. It happened because the students did not practice enough to do subtraction word problems. The researcher, used the drill method to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of students in math. The research method used is Pelton’s Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. This research was conducted on August 19, 2018, until September 21, 2018, in grade one in one of the Christian elementary schools in Ambon. The instruments used are RPP, feedback sheets, student test sheets and reflection journals. Each instrument is analyzed descriptively and with simple mathematical calculations. Based on data analysis, the percentage of passing rate reached 89,28 % on the first implementation and increased until 100 % on the second implementation. Therefore, it is concluded that the implementation of the drill method can improve first-grade students’ cognitive learning outcomes in one of the Christian schools in Ambon with the topic of subtraction word problems.
