Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDK Gunungsitoli mata pelajaran matematika yang masih rendah khususnya pada topik pecahan. Rendahnya hasil belajar kognitif siswa diketahui dari perolehan nilai siswa yang masih di bawah KKM. Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) dipilih peneliti sebagai upaya mengurangi masalah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap hasil belajar kognitif topik pecahan siswa kelas IV dan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif topik pecahan siswa kelas IV. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) versi Pelton, terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, hasil penilaian. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 19-25 September 2018, pada siswa kelas IV di SDK Gunungsitoli mata pelajaran matematika. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah tes, feedback mentor, ceklis, jurnal refleksi, bukti mengajar/RPP. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan perhitungan statistik sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terbukti dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama tiga kali pertemuan dengan pencapaian persentase ketuntasan 43% pada pertemuan pertama, 87% pada pertemuan kedua, dan 77% pada pertemuan ketiga. Penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dilakukan dengan baik melalui 5 tahapan yaitu presentasi kelas, tim, kuis, skor kemajuan individu, rekognisi tim. /The learning outcomes of grade IV students at SDK Gunungsitoli is still low, especially in the topic of fraction. Their low cognitive learning outcomes are acknowledged from their score achievements which are still below minimum passing score (KKM). The cooperative learning type Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) is chosen by the researcher as the attempt to reduce that problem. This research’s purpose is to know the effect of cooperative learning type STAD to the students’ cognitive learning outcomes in the topic of fraction, and to describe how the cooperative learning type STAD can improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes. The research methodology that is used is Pelton’s Classroom Action Research (CAR) model, which comprised of five steps that are issue identification, data collection, action planning, action activation, and outcome assessment. This research is conducted on September 19-25, 2018, with the subject grade IV students at SDK Gunungsitoli in Mathematics subject. The data sources that are used are test, mentor’s feedback, checklist, reflection journal, lesson plan. The data is analyzed using analytical descriptive and simple statistics. The result of this research shows that implementing cooperative learning type STAD in classroom action research is proved to improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes. This research is conducted three times with achievement percentage 43% at the first meeting, 87% at the second meeting, and 77% at the third meeting. The implementation of cooperative learning type STAD is done well through 5 steps, which are class presentation, team, quiz, individual improvement score, and team recognition.
